I didn't buy his brother's defense last night that the guy didn't do it. The brother didn't seem to really know much about this guy's life. Didn't even know he was in Asia right now.

I am interested to hear what the Boulder Police say today. So far there is nothing to connect this guy to Boulder, Co -- and the only connection to the Ramsey's is the fact that he lived about 30 miles from them in Georgia before JonBenet was born, and that he apparently had a fascination with the case and had contacted Patsy or attempted to before her passing.
I guess this will come down to DNA.

"I was with JonBenet when she died,"
That phraseology is strange. He was 'with' her. He doesn't say he actually killed her.
Either he is trying to distance himself, psychologically, from her murder, or he and JonBenet were not the only ones there.
If he gets a good lawyer, that 'admission' could be twisted any number of ways in a courtroom.

It's possible that he has a fascination with the images of her that he saw following the murder, and this is his way of being connected with her forever ((shudder)). Given the way one of the investigators was blabbing on Fox News yesterday, I'm surprised more people don't know the details of how she was found.

Well I feel bad for John and Patsy Ramsey along with their son. The Boulder police tried everything in their power to try and convict these innocent people in the court of public opinion. I cannot imagine the hell this family went through following the murder of their daughter and then the ongoing accusations and whispers that they incestuously murdered their own daughter. The Boulder police and the media ruined their reputations and made their lives miserable. I am sure that there will be many who will never give up that someone in the family did this. Sad.

y'all need to calm down..just because he confessed doesn't mean he did it..he could be a nutcase lookin for fame..as for me, I'm reserving judgement AND outrage UNTIL his DNA is matched to the speciman that was left..
I don't think anyone wants to villify this guy the way her parents were, and they were, apparently, innocent..

#1 I have a great deal of hesitancy in believing there were "facts that only the killer would know". According to detectives and attorneys nearly all information has been released.
#2 You have a better chance of living in an American jail vs. Thailand's tanks. And yes, I'm aware of the child molestor history ...
It just sounds too much like he wants out of Thailand w/o assuming responsibility for the death (I was with her).
Gotta stay posted ... very skeptical.

Just heard a former FBI profiler suggest that this guy's story doesn't wash.He still thinks it's a family member.
To: varyouga
Karr's visa has been revoked as an "undesirable person" given the accusations against him "Undesirable" in comparison to the rest of the child molesters in Bangkok?
To: varyouga
"I was with JonBenet when she died," Karr told reporters afterward, visibly nervous and stuttering as he spoke. "Her death was an accident. ..... It would take several hours to describe that. It's a very involved series of events that would involve a lot of time."TRANSLATION: He raped the poor child and was holding a tourniquet around her neck in order to force her to submit sexually to him, and he strangled her.

Side topic: Mr Ramsey should immediately file suit against Star, National Enquirer, Globe, Weekly World News, and every other such tabloid who trumpeted lurid headlines accusing him, his wife, and others in the family of this monsterous act.
