The Boulder police ought to be charged with murder. Mrs. Ramsey just died of cancer - probably from the stress of years of false accusation. I doubt they'll even get an apology.
And they shouldn't. Unless someone can show that the police were either A) completely negligent in ignoring obvious evidence that someone else was guilty, or B) maliciously and intentionally targeting them for harrassment, leave the LEOs alone.
The majority of LEOs do the best they can with the information they have at the time.

I'll have to disagree.
The detectives in that case were completely incompetent.
It all started when the body was first brought up from the basement.
The female officer present said she was convinced the parents were involved by a "feeling" she had.
It all went downhill from there.

It took a mere seven years for the Boulder law enforcement community to send the FBI the DNA sample that was found in JonBenet's underpants. It was determined a long time ago that this DNA sample did not belong to anyone in the Ramsey family.
