The vast majority (9 out of 10) people murdered in this country are murdered by people they know or by relatives, the vast majority being husband and wife or parents and children.
It seems extremelt unlikely that someone whom the Ramsey family notified the police about would be guilty. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely. As unlikely as as some "demented" provacateur and murderer taking the time to write a rambling, hallucinatory letter asking for a ransome for a child he already killed and stashed in their basement which was later discovered by John "Sherlock" Ramsey.
For all of you who still believe that this poor child couldn't possibly have been (mortally) accidently (or purposely) injured by the parent(s) I still say they were the number one suspects and remain such today.
No perp who had committed such a bold and notorius crime could have kept this to himself for ten or more years, let alone not have committed (or attempted to commit) similar crimes during the time in question. Such a person would be driven to repeat such a "glorious" beating of the police.
Until such time as ABSOLUTE proof of guilt I subscribe to the theory that the child died "unnaturally" at the hands of the parents and that an ongoing conspiracy has been created to defelct and absolve said parents, and that it continues to this day. I can't prove it but neither can John Ramsey currently prove my conjecture wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And how do you explain away the DNA matching???
Also, besides the DAN matching do you honestly think they'd go to all the trouble of bringing him back to the U.S. if there was any question about his guilt. It's not as though it's state to state.
