A FNC reporter this AM (8/6/06) in a whining voice states that Israel is using too much disproportionant force. I believe his first name was Jeff.

Question to Jeff: Is this some type of a sports event where the opponents are supposed to be evenly matched so as to present a even matched game?

If you think this you need to drink more "kool-aid".

Finally one of FNC made a mistake and admitted there are people in North Israel. Are these people civilians. And are the huzzies bombing civilians?

Israel should use twice the force they are using. By the was are all of Libanon military on vacation in France (for 6 years)? Say If a terrorist put on a Libby uniform and went south no problems at all -right Jeff?

To FNC: One CNN is all my stomach can take. Get your reporters in order or officially join CNN

Notice how the pro-terrorist mainstream media refuse to call the Israelis killed by the Hezbos "civilians"?

Civilians only exist in Lebanon in the eyes of the pro-terrorist mainstream media.

Thats as bad as hearing all the DemocRrat Congress people say that "no doubt Israel has the right to defend themselves, but the failure of this administration has been to not call for an immediate ceasefire". It follows their ideology on the Second Amendment. You defend your right to defend yourself but they don't want you to have the right to actually DO it.

There is such a thing as disproportionate force. The correct argument to make is that Israel is using a lot of force, we understand that it's possible to be disproportionate, but what Israel is doing is proportionate and is completely reasonable. There is no point to giving up the high ground. Israel's not doing anything wrong.

For example, if Hezbollah kidnapped one Israeli soldier three feet across the Israeli border, and then Israel responded by dropping 5000 atomic bombs on Lebanon and annihilating everything until the country was glass, that would be disproportionate. Yes, technically, Hezbollah did start it, but that itself doesn't justify any possible means that could possibly ever be conceived to do harm to them.

That will be our mantra as well.

They are supposed to be completely generic and just report the news without interjecting their personal opinions.
Cant seem to find a station that is. And CNN is an absolutely bias liberal fest every time you turn it on.

What you fail to understand is that Israel is destroying buildings, bridges, rocket launchers, etc. Hezbolla is firing rockets into Israel and basically hitting dirt and starting small fires. Israel is kicking ass comparatively speaking. ;-)

The definition of disproportionate force is

VICTORY!

Nothing short of Victory matters.

Go Israel, finish the Hezbollah, we'll meet you in Iran.

Won't happen. Under international pressure Israel will pull out of Lebanon with a promised cease fire from Hezbollah. This of course means nothing.

Hezbollah will reload, Israel will have lost lives and resources, and they will be doing this all over again with the loss of more lives and property - thanks to the United States of America.

There is no more courage in government to do what is right. They're too concerned about protecting their jobs.

Ness: How do you do it then?
Malone: You wanna know how you do it? Here's how, they pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.

Maybe the US should take a lesson from Israel. We are becoming a nation of wussies. We are afraid to stand up to countries like North Korea, Iran etc. There was a time when these type of governments were afraid of us. And that is the way it should be not vice versa.

I don't know who his Jeff guy is, but I've seen a few FNC reporters who share his sentiments.

My favorite FNC field reporter in this conflict is Jeff Tobin -- no moral equivalence nonsense, no Geraldo/Shep-like embellishments or drama queen antics, no bullsh/t.

The best FOX in the field reporters are Jennifer Griffin and Mike Tobin.

CNN Anderson Cooper has been supportive too especially of the Hezbollah manufactured news angle.

Yes, I agree the road leads to Iran and will hopefully end there (god willing). In my opinion, if Israel is successful in pushing the hizbos back far enough (preferably to hell, but at least into Syria), then Iran may just be stupid enough to fire a non-nuclear missile at Israel. The Israeli and US anti-missile systems most likely will blow it out of the air or space, but then 100% justification is there for Israel to take out all of Iran's missile and nuclear sites with USA as a backup.

However, there may be bigger fish to fry as Russia, China and Venezuela appear to be teaming up in the background. That could mean the *real* WW3, but in my opinion Russia and China would back down.
