Neither the card swipe data nor the home addresses were ever a big deal. The big deal is what this reveals about Titus.

I would say he did not want to completely slapdown Nifong, but chose to split the baby. I would say we have yet another Durham judge fail another public test.

I completely agree with Titus' decision. I didn't like Titus' demeanor in the courtroom and I think Titus should have sanctioned Nifong for his sleazy comments, but his decision was right on the money.

What's stupid is that the cops didn't interview these guys when they took their photos. All they would have had to do is what's called an "FI" card (field investigation) and gotten their Durham address as well as their permanent addresses. Each one would have taken about a minute.

DUH.
