It isn't, if you don't mind everything you write being in public.
Its best use is as a publicity engine, not as a spot for trawling.
Most celebrities have Myspace sites because they are easier to update than other conventional websites.
Mr. S2R has one for his public persona as an Elvis Impersonator.
