WASHINGTON (AP) -- Climate warming could spell disaster for much of the multibillion-dollar U.S. wine industry.
Areas suitable for growing premium wine grapes could be reduced by 50 percent -- and possibly as much as 81 percent -- by the end of this century, according to a study Monday in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Global Warming: solving the illegal immigration problem!
Say it isn't so! :(
Gaaasp! I better go stock up now!
STAT! ;)
I'm overrun with wild grape vines here. In fact I live on a river some say was named because of these psycho vines that run rampant here. (The river Raisin)
Meanwhile other states in the US are becoming proficient in premium wine growing, as is Australia. Oh well, all those Hollywood libs that paid through the nose for their own wineries will have to scurry over to the Texas hillcountry and become neighbors with Dubya.
New York will be the wine capital!
Climate warming could spell disaster for much of the multibillion-dollar U.S. wine industry be great for the multi-gazillion dollar beer industry and spin off industries such as high tech refrigeration and see an increase in the demand for ice, coozies, coolers, skimpy girls swimwear, party boats, cool beer commercials, more breweries................
I may have to switch sides. Wait, is CO2 used to make wine?
If global warming is harming wineries then why do we keep getting "great" vintages in countries that claim to be hit hard with heat waves such as France and Spain? France is pulling up vinyards because the ones they have are producing too many grapes and are driving down the price.
I'm calling another GW BS fraud alert on this one....
