Nope. Some are motivated by outright racism, but most of those who want enforcement only are good people.

You are attempting to change the subject of this thread.

If you agree that those who espouse this US-Mexico-Canada merger nonsense are kooks, why are you agreeing with them?

I don't and you are correct that this is only at a think tank stage(for NOW) But many good Americans are being adversely affected by illegal immigration. Crime, and loss of their jobs come to mind. Now couple this with Bush ignoring, no encouraging illegal immigration through speeches and deeds, and you get paranoia! Bush is behaving as if a merger would be a good idea, and that frightens people.
