Generally speaking, stuff that blooms in the spring (daffodils, crocus for example) you plant in the fall. Summer blooming stuff, you plant in the spring. Usually, the garden stores will stock the stuff at the appropriate time.

I'll have to look into websites.

We're giving the house some needed attention today and braving the stores for some back-to-school shopping for the girls. :-D
