And while people are talking about the DNA you say was found under JonBenet's fingernails (could have been in a fight with a playmate), there also seems to be DNA found on her underwear (though sexual assault was not indicated).
Despite this, the behavior of the Ramseys after JonBenet's death is not consistent with someone who has lost a child through violent means.
In 1980, my 2-year-old niece died from liver cancer. I personally witnessed the reactions of my sister and then husband. Now, if you compared that with the reactions of John and Patsy Ramsey, upon learning their 6-year-old daughter was murdered, as I have, you would see a huge difference.
And that does not even bear the "ransom note" in mind.
Something happened in that house. Something that Patsy Ramsey knew and was willing to go to the grave with.
You are going to have an awfully hard time convincing me she had nothing to do with JonBenet's death.
Roy Romer (former chair of the DNC) was governor of Colorado and the Ramseys were big donors. I think Romer squashed the investigation and I believe Romer left the DNC chairmanship for reasons related to the case. How nice. (I recall hearing Romer is superintendent of Los Angeles County schools...)
There is one hell of a lot more to this picture than just a simple murder.
That's pretty much my position too. I don't know who did it but I think John and Patsy do and made a conscious decision to cover it up rather than seek justice for the killer. There are just too many details I recall that make it difficult for me to believe a total stranger was the killer.
If some stranger broke in and killed Jon Benet, why would he stay there and compose a ransom note then walk upstairs to leave it on the staircase (all with the risk of being caught or leaving more trace evidence) instead of just getting out there as quickly as possible? Why would the ransom note happen to ask for one year of John Ransey's annual salary at the time (not exactly a round number)?
It is also suspicious to me that John was the person who found the body after the home had already been searched a few times. If it were my child, I'd have opened every door, even the one to the refrigerator and the washing machine, to make absolutely sure she wasn't there. It would not have taken me hours. At most, 30 minutes to do a thorough search.
I'm not celebrating Patsy's death but I do think she goes to her grave knowing who killed Jon Benet and knowing there was no sense in exposing that person.
I do remember that the parents said Burke the son was asleep when all this was going on....yet, he is heard on the 911 tape or at least referred to .....as in....something like "quiet down...haven't you done enough"...but my memory could be wrong.....
I don't know what to believe....I hope Patsy finds her peace now though......
