Why don't you let conservatives post?
Democratic Underground is not intended to provide a soap-box for our political opponents. If we let conservatives post here, then this discussion forum would be identical to all the other discussion forums on the Internet. If you want to debate conservatives, there are thousands of other websites on the Internet where you can do so -- just not this one.
In other words it's the only place where liberals can win when they discuss the issues of the day.
Wow, didn't know that about DU.
I've only ventured over to DU once or twice but quickly noted that there isn't even a sensible conversation about 'their' side. Usually, it's just a diatribe about how George W Bush is a (fill in the blank).
I am not interested in Rated-R web sites. XXX maybe....
