NBA management wants the Finals to go to 7 games.
It's a business after all.

Did he really go on the court again? The next time he does that they should force him to sell the team.

Agreed. The referee's determine who will win by how they call the game. I long for the days of long ago when refs called a tight game and you had great basketball in its purest form. Lots of scoring and great cutting and passing. Now, refs almost let everything go (unless it affects the their favored team)and particularly fail to call charging fouls. Shaq is a walking foul. I hate street ball.
I think that's why we stunk it up in the Olympics. The refs made USA play real basketball and our players didn't know how to perform.

NBA management wants the Finals to go to 7 games. I'm not a mavs fan, but the NBA would have been very happy if this had been a 4 game sweep by the heat.
It's a business after all.
David Stern has shown that sometimes his own ego gets in the way of business.
He really regrets letting Cuban buy the mavs and is not happy with the Mavs being in the playoffs.
Cuban could wind up (or would) wind up humiliating Stern and the league if he wins.

Before the playoffs this year, I would have said you were being too cynical, but I am coming around to your way of thinking. Everyone involved - the players, the referees, the owners, the advertisers, the networks, the arena employees, etc. all benefit to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars for extra games. There is a huge incentive, even if it's only subconscious, for going to seven games.
