Crime rises, but homicides fall
By BriAnne Dopart : The Herald-Sun
If you had seen Wendy's face you would have been afraid, very afraid. She's possessed by the devil. No other way to explain the look on her face. If she could have reached thru the screen she would have slashed the host's throat.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Why do I have no trouble whatsoever believing that?
Wendy shouldn't be walking free, she's a danger.
thanks Oldfriend!
Other than Covering his ass, It looks like Nifong wanted to get across that there was some damning evidence in the DNA report. He spends considerable time on that in his letter.
The trouble is, it looks like he's made another False public statement. He goes on how no reporter has seen the DNA report and that any that have bothered to ask to - have been rejected.
Not true. Simply not true. Dan Abrams viewed the entire DNA report and he was underwhelmed.
Mike has some real issues. Looks like compulsive lying could be on the list.

Monks might add heat to DA race

EXCERPT
Nifong had no comment on the situation Monday, saying Monks' election bid was too speculative.
"It would be one thing if there were an actual candidate," he said. "But I tend not to comment on speculation. If there is firm opposition at some point, I'll deal with it then."
Is it possible he could have sent the specimens for a super-secret 3rd round of testing or is that something the defense would have to know?
"She mentions something about a DNA and a object tonight."
Didn't CGM's "driver" give a statement that before the Buchanan gig, she had an appointment with a couple in a motel and used a vibrator to perform? Perhaps that was part of the contents of her purse, and nutty Wendy is still thinking that maybe, just maybe, she has something on the Duke guys.
It's possible, but I would think it points to anyone or exculpates anyone, they have to provide that info to the defense - the Lab results. So, it wouldn't be a surprise.
But, Nifong is specifically referring to the FIRST set of DNA testing. Nifong is saying there's something in there.
Abrams saw it. If you recall, that was the rallying cry from the Nifong supporters for a good while: If there's nothing in there, then why dont't they release the DNA report?
I think that's why Abrams was shown it - to refute those calls.
The DNA results were not part of the discovery file, though. They were given to the defendants when they came back from the labs.
Nifong is probably talking about the DNA found on the towel outside the bathroom.
One of CGM's versions has a player finishing in her mouth and her spitting it out, btw.
The only problem is that she said Reade forced her to perform oral, and it isn't Reade's DNA on the towel.
I must have missed this in her statement. Is it posted?
It was read by the TH's on one of the shows last night.
Susan Filan on Tucker Carlson.
Maybe Chalmers has completed his rehab? (/sarcasm)
The DNA on any "object" could very well be anyone's, including Kim Roberts Pittman's, mixed with the accuser's. It is not a pleasant thought. However, that is all beside the point -- the accuser stated that there were no objects used in the alleged attack. Case closed. I predict that the judge will toss this entire case when the evidentiary hearings take place.
That DNA is not worrisome it is linked to someone living at the house - expected.
except in that case the guy did have sex with her and it's not clear she agreed to it. How else is the blood on his shirt explained? (Yes, yes, yes I know she had sex with lots of other people.)
remember an object can be a sink, a toilet, a tub, a doorknob, a counter
The hint was the broomstick theory again, I'm sure. Everyone knows it was hidden on the grassy knoll.
Incidentally, when the word "object" comes up in the Durham case, I am reminded of the Mike Peterson case, where they kept claiming that a fireplace poker was used. The one that was supposed to be located next to the fireplace was not located, so the DA used one that was found in the garage, covered with cobwebs, etc. and it was represented as "It was like this one", knowing all along that it was not the weapon.
Ruth Sheehan has posted a new blog today about yesterday's column...
