Truly the main reason I take them from that angle is the horse looks better. I have a beautiful picture of Jake taken last year on one of our rides. It is from the front and caught him just when he alerted to something in the next site. Don't have access to it right now but cannot post it but I was impressed with my own photographic prowess.
