Forgive me, but that's a really bad idea. Horses should not be fodder for a $5 a pop fundraiser.I'm gonna have to go ahead and agree with you on that. A horse should be a carefully considered purchase - the right horse for the right job for the right owner. This is a good way to create another neglect case for the Animal Cops show.

Agreed.
I was pleasantly surprised at the benefit ride that they've even done away with raffling or auctioning stallion services at that. They used to. But responsible horse breeding is not promoted with a $5 raffle, and neither is responsible horse ownership.
