Why would they need xrays to trim them?

I have to give you an update on my ongoing chicken story. Remember the girl brought 2 and just dumped them out while i wasn't here. I had only ever seen one and he was hanging at my garden. I finally got him caught put him in a crate out at the barn. I left him there for about 4 days, with food and water. I let him out and he ran right back to the garden and last night was sitting in the front yard after dark...stupid chicken.

But, and I guess this isn't really funny, but I think it is:). Yesterday when I left on my horse and rode up the road between my property and my neighbor I saw the other one she brought on the porch railing of their house, crowing up a storm....I wondered what they thought about that. I found out. Last night as Mack and i was leaving the neighbor showed up and asked if we were missing a rooster. He said there was one at his house that was roosting on his deck railing right by his bedroom window and was crowing at 3:00 in the morning. Mack and I told him just shoot the stupid thing. The guy said he would but his wife wouldn't let him, she didn't want him to hurt it, (city people:). I told him if he couldn't catch it, and wouldn't shoot it I'd come catch it after it went to roost, and take care of the problem. I'd bet a hundred dollars, I'll have to shoot it to keep it from going over there....I said it would be today before I could come because we were leaving. I heard it crowing over there this morning, so I guess he didn't catch it last night:\

Hey there Cindy, sorry I missed your post last night.
The X-rays would help guide the farrier when he's trimming the feet, to see where the hoof is, and not trim it back too much, especially with those front ones. The x-rays would also see if there's problems like lamititis or bone loss from the feet being in such awful condition, and there was on both counts. Whoever did this to that poor pony needs to be shot. I'm so glad that she has the care that she needs now.
