And the back shoes, even though they have clips, which I hate, are the rim type we were taking about that give you a better breakover than just a flat shoe.

I thought they were... Why, I wonder, if he normally stocks and works with that type of shoe, why wouldn't he have put those type on the fronts all along - since he's been shoeing him for possible Navicular anyhow...

He may have figured that you wouldn't know the difference, and rim shoes are more expensive. If he gets the same amount to shoe, no matter which shoes he uses, then he makes more money off the regular shoes. Just a guess.
