The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Here's one more picture, he looks a tad bit better in this one.

He does look better. He might not be as bad as I thought, it was just an awkward pose.

But so much about his other stance reminded me of what I see when I think Bay's off when he's resting in the paddock I wanted to bring it up and see if others might see it too.

If you'd have posted that pic though, I wouldn't have said a word, except his feet are too small. And they might not be as small as they look, if they're both wrapped at the coronet. I could tell the right one was, but not the left.

No, no, you were right. This horse is seriously lame. Go with your first instinct, it was correct.

One other thing, you're also correct on the small feet. He's a registered quarter horse so small feet/tons of problems goes with the breeding.

Batteries charge and on my desk. Dang, I'm gonna have the whole truck packed for an overnight before I'm done:') Just got back from Walmarts. I went to get the chips and dip and decided to get a new pair of sweat pants. Kind of stirred things up. They are men's sizes so I had to try them on. No one was around the fitting rooms and they were locked up tight. I waited awhile, then went over to groceries. When I came back...same thing. I tried to use their phone but just kept getting a busy signal. I knew people were working because I could here them talking on the radio, that was on the counter. I thought "hmmm. Why not", so I picked it up, pushed the side button and said "can anyone hear me"?" Complete silence and then a man said "yes, I hear you". I said "ok. Well can you get some help over to the fitting room. I've been waiting a long time and I need to get out of here". I was told someone would be right there and I thanked him. Seconds later a manager come running with keys. Very nice and apologizing. So if you ever need help in Walmart and they leave the walkie talkie in site.....:')

I'm back. No one wanted to stay the night. It was a good ride. I has some trouble but I guess I did ok. Looking back now, in my safe chair, it was fun. No time to think about that during the ride though:') I'm tired but a good tired.

York keeps telling me that can't find server. I'll just post them on cannon but I can't zoom or crop well. I've been working on a bird picture for weeks. Guess I need to contact them. Anyway, pics coming.

Things didn't start out well. Sarah Lee had thrown a shoe. Eddie took the day off to help me which I really appreciated. I hate driving on this bridge.

I use Snapfish, which, knock on wood, I've not had a problem with.
