The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

ROTFL! Unfortunately, I see him too many times at the horse shows. His wife is nice and she agreeded with me.

Yes, I would love to have him. Sooo, I just offered 1500. If she accepts, then I have to find a place to board him.

No more stalls. Five head here, and five stalls. I only had 3 on one side of the barn. We had to build two stalls for Tubby and Jody on the other side, that I used for storage. That is what was preventing me from buying him. I doubt she will take the offer. She better, horses are really going cheap here. Depressed economy, plus a lot of farmers could not bale hay, with all the wet weather. Most of them just mowed down the first cut, because it got to old.

He doesn't need a stall. Just put a leanto out for him and he'll be fine.

Life just got considerably better. Janelle's son just came over and fixed the leak and Bob got the reset button on the garbage disposal to work. :)

I'm almost afraid to say this, but I didn't get any pictures except of the wedding that was held Sat. Nite....It was a tough ride to make time on, and it was just non stop...no time to lollygag and take pictures.

LOL....I'm glad I'm not in Wa. Really tho we just did not have time to stop. The ride was a full ride, 63 riders started. So the judges had a lot of horses to judge so the observations were quick move right thru.

The trail was tough to, lots of rocks, lots of steep climbs, just about the time you thought you were OK on time, something would slow you down. Like at the first P&R I pulled into, it was on a gravel road, and I knew immediatley on hitting the gravel that he'd lost a shoe. I was lucky that a farrier was there and put a shoe back on for me. But it took time, that I had to make up.
