This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Honestly I'm not sure on that. I don't know if a lab will release sample tissue after the first examination. A second biopsy was not done.
The vet always calls from on the road and the connection is terrible. So we end up getting cut off and playing phone tag. It makes me nuts. I'd like the info on the labs too but just haven't had an opportunity for a longer conversation.
I hear you. Am just wanting to get this thing removed. Patience was never a virtue with me. Right now am about ready to start jumping up and down and screaming.
Maybe a goo filled chocolate cake is in order. That usually calms me down. Then I start feeling really guilty over the calories....talk about a distraction!
Do what your heart tells you, on the horse, and on the chocolate :~)
Hoping you get this resolved soon...nothing more frustrating then not knowing, and having lots of opinions thrown at you....

I did a little research about Horse Chow, just for the heck of it and was amazed that to buy a 50lb of it over the internet it was over $14 a bag...
How the heck am I getting it for $7.50.

I hope you get rain today. Nothing much is able to come in from the Gulf right now so look North. It's hot here today too. I left the stables about 10:30. Just too hot to do anything. If I could get my butt out of bed at daybreak I would but........
I'm not a morning person, either. I like to get up early but I move slowly. It's so hot that I've been keeping all the horses in the barn during the hottest part of the day. Tuffy is already in the barn but I'm fixing to go put the other ones up. It stays about 10 degrees cooler in the barn than outside and they seem to like to stay in there. One day I had them all up and accidently left Bud's stall door open. Went back out about 3 hours later and he was still standing there under his fan.
Bud aint no dummy:') I've thought about, if/when I ever have my own place of putting one of those misters up, to use if they want.
Those misters are awesome! I'd love to have one in my barn to cool off in while I'm working. I had a small swamp cooler in my barn, one of those air conditoner thingies that you keep a water hose hooked up to, and it worked pretty well but didn't last long, maybe 2 seasons, then it broke.
I'm kidding, that's just a weird shaped cloud. 
I've seen those before and had to look twice too:') You were right about the zoo. My family wanted to go. I got too hot. 4 dollars a drink. I went from mister to mister. The heat doesn't usually bother me. The hotter the better but this summer I haven't tolerated it as well for some reason.

Oooh. Will those clouds bring some rain?
Not yet but this prepaid cellphone business needs to be looked at quickly. If those phones are to be used to set off thousands of roadside explosive devices in this country some thing needs to be done now.
If drastic measures are called for ... so be it.
What's stopping you? Just grab a rod and get some help getting into the boat and go fishing:')
Uh, a seven hour drive, one way. They were catching bait fish while we were talking. Supposed to call me back later tonight.
