The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I have a 3 horse slant load and will only be using 1 stall for my horse. So, I can help get extras to the trailheads.

I'm just south of Tulsa, Bixby.

75, has a exit on it that will take you right into Bixby.

We'd probably need to stop somewhere and let them out for a bit to stretch their necks. Blade and Bob load pretty well so hopefully that wouldn't be a problem.

Our only problem is going to be a truck! My old Silverado just won't make that trip. You will just have to break down and get you a new truck!

The drinking is the biggest problem with trailering that far. That's always what worries me.

Well not quite. 4 1/2 to 5 months if we are talking this October/November.

...but I did not know about the apple juice back then.

What, you put apple juice in the water or just straight juice?

No, we're talking 2007:)

The deal for Hair and I was I would come to her place this year, and she'd (and ecurbh:) come here next.

This gives everyone time to put in for vacation too.

In the water, they talked about it on the last thread about the same time as the salt mixture/electrolite discussion.

I can't make it this year anyways. I got a trip to Colorado planned in September with another horsey friend of mine to visit the Parelli ranch.

Well, we CAN move it up, if everyone could still make it. I figured everyone had vacations already planned for this year.

OK - so Frog's got a year and some extra months to get another truck :~D

If it's all these women, I'd feel bad for Mack :~)

Not this year, 2007.

OK, that works. I was beginning to feel rushed! Although we could probably all meet in ARK for a ride also, that is pretty central to most of us from AL, TX, OK.

Tougher logistics though, if there's no 'host' at the end.
