The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

WE are having a very good time. I rode the horse today, and she will be fine. Did you see the pictures:)

I wish you could see the trees here. I've been sitting out under them all day, they're so straight:)

Tomorrow we are going on a ride to a state park forrest.

Hi, mama. Just got in for the night, we've been at the building with dad. Had to come home cause Tucker was hungry and I didn't have any liners with me, I forgot this time.

We got all the pictures hung up and I kinda cleaned it up a little. It really looks good, you can really tell what the theam is now.:o)

I'm going to go to your house tommorow and play with Suzie for awhile and maybe work out.

Your pictures were great. That looks like a pretty nice horse that you're riding.What are you all going to do tommorow?

She is a very nice horse. We are going riding tomorrow to a state forrest.

It's so pretty here. So different from home. Thanks so much for thinking of Susie:).

It depended on who got fed first, although we were pretty careful that there was no delay to speak of. They could both be real *itches so we didn't want them to try to figure out who was top dog between them.

I was asking because this little boy and I were watching the geldings once trying to determine who was numero uno. Two kind of went back and forth. I picked one and he picked another. Mine took the # one feed spot. I told him "see". He looked at me and said "well, maybe eating but when they get finished, they go see the mares and then you see who the real alpha is" I just looked at him and started laughing. You know what , though? The little stinker was right:')

Farah and Cleo each knew where their feed dish was and waited by them. Neither would try to move the other off their feed or hay but either one of them would run all the rest off feed and/or hay :)

THat's the way Okie is. He's kind of the kid that likes to play and his "best friend" is like that too. They are middle of the group but seem to enjoy testing the big boys. One day after the feed was gone they both had hold of the feed bucket and were playing tug of war. The owner probably didn't appreciate them doing this but I thought it was funny.

Yeah. I ran to get the camera but was too late. I've been thinking of checking out to see if there are any really small ones now that I can wear around my neck. I really wanted a few second video one next though.
Speaking of spending money, I've found two pieces of property about 10 miles from here that I'm looking at. One is 31 acres and the other is 2 10 acre lots. I'll post some pics this weekend but it's just land. Not many trees and one has Cotton growing.

Good morning all - Still early here, but I'm up. We just ran coyotes off, not sure if Becky woke up with all that commotion or not. I was already up, been going over this trail ride in my head since about 4 am :~)
