The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

My Arab there with the white stripe is a year older than yours. :~D And he's doing pretty good. I've known him since he was 10, though he belonged to a friend then. He did some endurance and a lot of pleasure trail miles and now gets to do as much as he can. He's pretty sound, but he has some Navicular symptoms we're treating and I give him Bute before rides and whenever else I think he looks like he could use it.

Yeah - we have put videos on, I am on cable, I can download anything, those on dialup have mixed success depending on the video.

It's 84 here today, which is plenty hot for us :~)

I picked July for her trip because although all the June mud is gone, things are still fairly green, and it's not as hot as August :~)

Well, you didn't have to go to so much trouble, but it builds anticipation:)

I'm looking at one of these deficiencies. The professor has a mis-spell. I so want to bring it to his attention. I really ought to leave well enough alone since I don't know if he has a sense of humor but..........I'm pounding my desk to keep from picking up the pen:')

Update from timwoolleyracing.com

Update 183: Spoke to Peter Brette who visited Barbaro later today (saturday). He was happy with Bobby, and expressed some encouragement that he was doing well (relative to the last few days). Bobby received a massage today, and subsequent to the massage slept for a couple of hours. While we need to remain very cautious, Peter's "visit report" was a little encouraging.

Hey, we have you to thank for finally cleaning our grimy blinds! :~D

We're doing our spring cleaning... better late than never :~D This place doesn't really look nice inside ever, but it doesn't have to be dirty. :~)

Look here... you can hike into the crater if you stay an extra few days :~)

Dang. Maybe I ought to have company too. The last time I spring cleaned was when my dad was coming down. I'm so looking forward to after this week. Horses in the morning. House in the afternoon. I really guess I ought to reverse that though.

Last time we cleaned ~really~ well was when everyone was coming to town for the wedding :~)

The trouble is it doesn't stay clean very long. Open the door and we need to vacuum again.

I just can't figure out how two people around here can make such messes. Must be Cindy's fault:')

Corners? (looking up) Oh shoot! Where's the broom? I think I saw it around here somewhere the other day.

I don't notice them either. It's like dust. For me it's there and I know I have to clean but I don't notice it everywhere until I start dusting. Now if I see a spider in a web I zoom right in. Kind of funny how people are. I used to have a boss that made people tour after being off awhile. It was amazing and annoying about stuff they would find.
