The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

First off - I DON'T feed them, that's Bob's job. They eat live mice. :)

Rare ones sell for $1500 to $1800 each, however, I'm just going to list these for $500 to include their tank and lights, etc. They are just regular, run of the mill pythons and I just want to ask enough that insures they go to a good home and not some kid who will get bored with them and not take care of them.

Where's your son at :)

Bob has really enjoyed them - they are very gentle and the kids all love them but I'm seriously decreasing the amount of critters he has to take care of.

I figured they'd eat mice. Can you just turn them loose in the barn? I spose not.

Good luck finding them a good home :~D They are rather cool.

It's too dry and gets too cold here for them to be outside and I don't think they'd compete well with the big rat snake that lives in the barn. He'd probably eat them for lunch.

It's pretty difficult to find a breeding pair so I think I'll be able to find a good home for them. And a breeder will take excellent care of them.

Oh - one of those "If I tell you, I'll have to kill you" type things, huh?

Tell him to keep safe.

Suitcases with wheels are great. Takes all the lugging out of it, and lets you get places a lot faster.

You can also raise the handle all the way up and put bags and purses on top.

I just popped in for a minute and saw your post about the SR-71 Blackbird. My son is looking over my shoulder and about to wet his pants. That is his favorite plane!!! When did you see it??

It was in the mid 80s - on a flight down to Phoenix, I think. It is/was a cool plane. I was sad when they retired them, the design was just uber cool.

Crud, I can't find them. I'll keep looking and post them when I find them. I have some great pics that my husband and son took of the Blackbird, they got to see it at a base in San Antonio.
