3 Goals in the last 8 minutes. Cahill 2, Louisi (sp?) 1.

Japan just got tired and stopped pushing up.

The game I have enjoyed most so far was the Sweden v Trinidad and Tobago match-up.

Keenly looking forward to the USA game.......

Go America!!

Ironic that the best game in many respects was Sweden v. T&T and THAT was not only the only draw so far but goalless as well. Most Americans love the victorious underdog -- that's why Hoosiers was such a popular movie (and based on a true story as well). To see a tiny country like T&T fight like they did and hold off the Swedes -- well, all I can say is I can't understand how any sports fan wouldn't feel good for those folks.

Good luck to the USA team a well, I shall be supporting you if England are out.

Like that's going to happen. The US may have troubles getting out of their own bracket, let alone past the first game (if they got there). I really don't think they're going to get out of their own bracket though. If they do, it will be in 2nd place.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Eddie Johnson -- if not as a starter than as a substitute.

I already informed my boss that I'll have a LONG lunch today -- fortunately he is a German National so it's not an issue.

I doubt many people in the last World Cup predicted that the USA would get out of their bracket and Argentina and Frnace would not advance.

The Czechs are all new to the World Cup. I'm not ready to concede that they will advance. For that matter, I'm not ready to concede that Ghana won't. Michael Essien is a better player than anyone on the USA side.

Time to leave the office to watch OUR boys play! (what's this THEY you kept mentioning in your post?)
