Your pic reminded me of the Girls of St Trinian´s a British cartoon of the 1940´s.
I would like to know what the caption said of this doping scene at the school sports day.
They later made a few movies of them and this was their School song from the movie.
Maidens of St. Trinian's
Gird your armour on.
Grab the nearest weapon
Never mind which one.
The battle's to the strongest
Might is always right.
Trample on the weakest
Glory in their plight.
St. Trinian's St. Trinian's
Our battle cry.
St. Trinian's St. Trinian's
Will never die.
Stride towards your fortune,
Boldly on your way.
Never once forgetting
There's one born every day.
Let our motto be broadcast
"Get your blow in first",
She who draws the sword last
Always comes off worst.
Sidney Gilliat
A St.Trinian's girl "would be sadistic, cunning, dissolute, crooked, sordid, lacking morals of any sort and capable of any excess. She would also be well spoken, even well mannered and polite. Sardonic, witty and very amusing. She would be good company"
The staff, meanwhile, "behind an extremely old fashioned facade, conceal equivalent excesses and plenty of lesbianism. They insist on good manners at all times, and in all circumstances ... but are extremely tolerant".
In practice staff and pupils share a great deal.
