Sounds nice. Growing up, we always spent several weeks every summer in the Smokies. It was wonderful. The world was kinder and "gentler" then and we were able to sleep with the windows open. The nights were so chilly that we'd have to use blankets. Its almost always so hot and steamy here at night that we could never sleep w/o a/c. :) We use ceiling fans to reduce the demand for a/c so I sleep with the a/c on and for good measure the ceiling fans, too. LOL.

The weather really is quite pleasant here most of the time. It gets pretty hot during the day, but not unbearable. Even Little Rock is much worse. I'm sure I would have the AC on down there where you're at too. The heat gets brutal. I lived in Georgia for a few years. Summer would get so hot you rarely even cooked much in the summer. Lots of salads, sandwiches and fruit. Louisiana climate is similar to Georgia.
