To: King Prout
that is the NEWER style British cutlass of the 1850 period.

the one i mean is the Napoleonic era blade, which is even simpler in form, though the blade is more "curved", if i remember correctly.

it was furnished with a plain black scabbard & frog, to fit the waist belt. (i suspect the "locally produced" product was CRUDE. there was a WAR on, after all)
