"One outburst shouldn't condemn a man."

I'm not one who curses under the influence of drink, but I'm glad there is no cockpit voice recorder when I am out among the traffic.

There is a segment of our society which delights in the failures of the mighty, particularly those who have aspired to a lofty purpose. Had this been a run-of-the-mill pretender to greatness, it would probably have been laughed off.

But a Pat Robertson or a Jerry Falwell, or a Rush Limbaugh or a Mel Gibson is held to a higher standard. Not because they are made of sterner stuff, but because the higher they rise, the more the unwashed masses are entertained by the thump of their impact when they fall.

Those of us who understand their plight do so because we have had our own failures. Nothing quite so magnificent or tragic as theirs, but significant to us, and painfully personal as well.

It is only those who are all too quick to forgive themselves who find it difficult to forgive others. *

( * Fits as tagline)

Your convincing statement would have me believe deep in my heart that the MSM, other 2-legged cockroaches, etal. will be going straight to hell.

Used to be that decorum and respect permeated this country from coast to coast and it was the Real America.

Now profane zombies feed the media and rule it, nosing into other people's private lives and becoming the scourge of hard-working humans.

They are scum and scum should be removed before it spreads. Is it too late now?
