They are equal opportunity manglers. Ancient Egyptian, Norse, Arthurian, Aztec and Inca, dare I say Atlantean?
That doesn't bother me, though, as long as they have glib and plausible exotic science thingies.
Have you noticed also how much it now resembles Star Trek, the Original Series? Phasers, warp drive, beaming technology, heck it wouldn't surprise me if Teal'c started using the Vulcan nerve pinch.
