"Do you know how long it takes to fly back from China to the United States? Sixteen hours! I know damn well that they're not going to have Jack Bauer on an airplane for 16 hours, 16 episodes, of 24 next year. So I know that something's going to happen--he's going to get off of that slow boat to China before he gets there. I have no clue what's going to happen ..."

When I heard him say that today, I thought that that was an interesting observation. The best part about 24 is that you don't know what they're going to do next. That's what makes it interesting.

Rush made a good point there, but what if Jack is in China for the whole "day" next season--with Chloe and Audrey searching for him? That could be interesting too. But I think Rush is right. Jack will get off the boat and return to LA.
