Is there a chance that Simeon will file as a write-in candidate for DA? He lost big in 2002.

I don't think for this election, but I think something tawdry is planned. It would benefit Simeon for Nifong to move on to bigger and better things after the trial. I think political aspirations are one of Nifong's motives and MONEY is what's driving Simeon. It's Ugly in Durham, I know that.

I was wondering about the "write-in" possibility in NC/Durham. Is it available and, if so, under what parameters is a "write-in" candidate eligible to take office (assuming they win)? Bottom line, would Freda Black be able to win via "write-in" votes?
