I wouldn't knock Taylor Hicks. He can make a ton of dough in Vegas. Prince's performance was OK.

I watched the entire two hours and was thoroughly entertained. I was hesitant at first and wondered how in heck they could possibly fill 2 hours.

Two very entertaining hours and free to boot. Guess I could have taken the wife to a movie, spent 15 bucks on tickets, 20 bucks on popcorn, cokes, snacks and still have been entertained.

This was a bit cheaper. Oh yeah, I thought the girl should have won. Much more talent IMHO.

They both have talent, but McPhee would be easier to commercialize. Personally I root for the underdog (Taylor). Glad he won.

Did anyone notice the duet Taylor sang with Toni Braxton? She took his hand and placed it on her hip and Taylor was totally embarassed and removed it quickly (TIVO helps see this ). A total Southern gentlemen/class act -there to sing and not get caught up in the other "stuff"

Since it's "her" show and I could really care less it's gonna be fun. I usually have to suffer the show because she won't miss it, and sometimes I have found it entertaining. In past seasons I have usually favored the attractive chicks because, well, they offer a pleasant sight and sound.

But I do appreciate raw singing talent and I gotta tell you, Taylor Hicks has done some good stuff this season and he's been my pick for a few weeks. I thought, who is it, Mandissa, was pretty darn good too but I guess she wasn't purty enough.

I didn't get to watch AI this year but I saw the one where Taylor tried out and I told my husband that he would win. I couldn't believe Simon thought he looked too old.

It's because of spoilers like this that I stay off the net whenever something like this is going on. A few years ago I went to Drudge's site during the olympics and there in the headlines he had the winner of the women's skating. It does take away the suspense when you know beforehand who wins.
