NEW YORK -- So much for that apology Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines offered President George W. Bush in 2003 after criticizing him at a London concert. She said she's taking it back.
Maines told Time magazine she no longer feels sorry about her comment. She said she doesn't feel the president "is owed any respect whatsoever."
The trouble started when Maines told the London audience that the group was "ashamed" President Bush was from Texas because of the Iraq war.
The remarks led to death threats and a backlash from other country stars, including a high-profile spat with Toby Keith.
The Chicks have a new album hitting stores on Tuesday called "Taking the Long Way."
F.U.D.C.
These gals are yesterday's news.
I wonder if any other musicians will take the same path as the dixie chicks. Will P Diddy say welfare and affirmative action should be abolished? Will Cher say gay marriage should be illegal? Will Judy Collins say Social Security should be abolished?
Yep, yuck it up while you can, before you older deadbeats start dying off and we collectively vote your Social Security/Medicare socialist crap into oblivion. Yuk yuk yuk.
That's part of the gag. Duh.
You still wear parachute pants, too?
No, you?
No, you?
Yes, but only on the weekend around the house. I really like how they feel with no underwear.
