When people hear Celine, they know it's real. Katharine seems manufactured. I think she'll fade."I think so too.
I don't have anything against her, but she shouldn't be the next American Idol. She shouldn't even be in the top two.
If she's wise, she'll use her AI exposure to get into acting. That's what she said she wants to do anyway.

I felt badly for her.So did I. It looked like she wanted to cry. She was forced to sing a TERRIBLE song.

Watching the show a second time - Taylor blew Kat away with the last song. They both had new and rather cheesy material to work with. Kat flailed through her song, while Taylor got more and more into his and KILLED the ending.

I would be hard pressed to explain to someone who hasn't actually SEEN Taylor just what it is about him that touches the heart.
Sounds trite but it's SOUL. He has it!

sj, i know you weren't drooling over them were you? The gyrating strippers? A little :)
I was more shocked than anything else. Is that where Country Music is headed? The song wasn't even good.

She has no range, there are breaks in her voice and she forgets the lyrics.
If that were not bad enough, she has no personality when done with the performance.
I think Taylor is better.
On the lower levels all people were more talented IMO this year, but I think there have been better talent in the finals before for sure.

Two votes from me for Taylor, from here in West Central Texas. Got in on two different numbers. I dialed each number in turn, then started over, then again and again etc.
