Skype has been approved for overseas voters. I found an email concerning AI and FOX's position on this. However, it is somehow being used to vote during all three time zones, even though the voter lives in one. I posted some stuff earlier about this. It's obviously not skype's intended purpose though. Here is a post from Taylor's AI message board of a poster describing how to use it.

If you are using that other program, when you set up your location, choose the time zone that is suitable to keep voting. ie I am in the west but I set up with a Mich address and got in 35 votes, and reset to Idaho and can still vote. Try it, all the votes count.

They are not allowed to post other sites on AI, so they refer to it by spelling it skipe, or sk*pe, or some other way. It is what is being discussed in this quote because the thread I pulled this from was specifically about using it.

I liked Frank but I didn't consider him handsome. He did have a lot of sex appeal though, until he started wearing those toupees:)

I missed my chance to see Frank. He came to my hometown and did a concert once several years back. We thought about going , but didn't get tickets in time. He passed away shortly after that. Been kicking ourselves ever since.

Diana DeGarmo returns home for show at the Rialto

When we last spoke with Diana DeGarmo, the Shiloh High grad who made it big on Fox's "American Idol" she was running through the streets of New York City to make a lunch date.
She gamely answered questions while pushing through crowds, crossing streets and hailing a cab. It's official - Diana's not in Snellville anymore.

DeGarmo has been living in New York, where she's performing on Broadway in "Hairspray." She's returned home to Atlanta this weekend, though, for a performance tonight at the Rialto Center.

DeGarmo describes tonight's show as "Diana through the years." Along with songs from her debut album, "Blue Skies" she'll sing some of the songs she performed on "American Idol" as well as some of her favorites tunes from when she was younger. Unhindered, a group of musicians who went to high school with DeGarmo, will open.

It'll be one of the last concerts she plays until her next album comes out, she said. DeGarmo parted ways with her former label, RCA, in 2005, and she's producing her next album independently. She's working at her own pace on the new offering, which she promises will be pop with a bit of an R&B influence. She doesn't have a release date planned, but said the album might hit shelves within the next year.

The young singer said she enjoys working independently from a studio. "I really like it. I can be my own boss" DeGarmo said. "I don't have to listen to a guy in a suit who doesn't know anything about music."

DeGarmo has learned a lot about being independent this year. She's been living by herself in New York since February, when she joined the "Hairspray" cast as Penny Pingleton. Mom Brenda, who relocated to Los Angeles during the "Idol" shooting, had been to visit a few times, though, including for Easter.

"It's been a lot of fun. I'd never gotten to stay in New York before for longer than a couple of days, so it's been nice to be able to explore a little bit" DeGarmo said.

After "Hairspray's" run, DeGarmo will be back on the road with the national tour of the new musical "Brooklyn." The show, about a girl searching for her father in New York, will make a stop at Atlanta's Fox Theatre July 11-16.

When all the touring's over, DeGarmo said she's not sure where she'll end up. She's ambiguous about possible college plans - "we'll see where the time takes us" - but said she'd love to keep her ties to the Atlanta area. "I love Atlanta, and would love to buy my own personal home there" DeGarmo said.

But the big question on everyone's mind is this: Does DeGarmo still watch "American Idol" the show that made her famous?
"Unfortunately, no! I work when the show's on, so I don't get a chance to watch it" she said.

HOT rumor on AI boards is McDaddy has previously produced a New Years show with Ryan Seacrest and has been hiring a PR firm to multiple-vote for Kat. Those things may not be "illegal" but certainly show some underhandedness and a conflict of interest. The folks over there are calling Kat "Veruca Salt" after the spoiled daddy's girl in Willy Wonka LOL!!

According to a list I am on, it seems there is a new infant boy in the world, born this morning, who was named Elliott.

Which just made me smile so much that I had to share it..

Dunno - apparently MSNBC is covering Idol on Scarborough and floated those rumors. They also had a couple of elitist Hollywood gadfly type reporters who trashed Taylor as appealing only to "old fat women". I'm not yet old and fat, though on my way I suppose, but certainly NOT a woman.

That's too bad. I would have liked to see him in concert when he was in his prime. Towards the end of his life he made some tv appearances, I think on awards shows, and appeared to be disoriented. What a pity.

I was hoping to see Elvis in concert but, unfortunately, he died way too soon.

distracted by his dancing.

(ie: Eliot's dancing)

That's when I first realized that Eliot didn't just have the voice and the willingness to benefit from the AI experience, he had humor and guts.

That "dance" was really something....reminded me of my Jr. Prom date in high school.

retrokitten, is it just me? The show won't seem right next week without both Taylor and Eliot goofin' and having fun.

Oh no, I meant Taylor's dancing distracted him. But Elliot did some wacky dances, too.

The show won't seem right next week without both Taylor and Eliot goofin' and having fun.

That I do agree with. It will certainly be missing something with Elliot gone.

Let me butt in to agree with you - I was really hopin' for a Tay-E finale. Two great guys/friends/performers having a spirited yet friendly duel for the title!

The only fun now will be seeing Mack Daddy's face when Taylor (hopefully) trounces Kat.
