Oh Frack! That didn't work!
Go to the Mrdaughtry.com and look under the thread about it. The link is posted there. It's funny.

He is interested in doing stuff with JDF.Very cool. 19E's agenda is pop schlock, in my opinion, so I think you're right. Clive yammered on and on about Kelly Clarkson's great album, "Breakaway," last night, using it to validate American Idol. But Kelly only began having the enormous success he's achieved after she ditched 19E for The Firm, which has been managing her career since January 2005. Something to keep in mind. :)

After someone posted the principle of a "maximum number of votes recorded in a specified time period" then I can completely believe the number. The bad part is that unless they at least double the number of lines and circuits available next week, the result is GUARANTEED to be 50.01/49.99 with the difference being text votes. And Cingular kicks back some revenue to AI for being the exclusive provider of text services. Follow the money... It still makes them rigged numbers. If someone finds a work around for AI's fixing of the show, more power to them!

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)

The determining factor is going to be text messages, which means you have pay money to make your vote count.Yes, I think you're right.

Foul on the play. Unsportsman Like Conduct. Offender is hereby sentenced to spend the evening on Democratic Underground.

I'm going to miss them all. I wish the whole show would be re-run all summer. But they are going on tour so that is not going to happen.
I pre-ordered the CD from Overstock this afternoon.
I was happy to see the faces on the cover of the CD
This year was particularly enjoyable. And I've seen them all.
Only voted once before...for Clay Aiken. This time I voted two different times.....last week and this week for Taylor.

Wow, that was really nice to add that accolade to Elliott's excellent adventure on American Idol.

Whenever, I see someone comment on him it always revolves around his likeability or cuteness, not his real talent which is singing jazz...Thanks for validating my point along time ago in this thread. I said that each contestant had talent which had been overshadowed by a cliche.

That first year when Roooooooooobbbbbbiiiiinnnnnnn beat out Clay there was near mutiny over the lines being busy for Clay.
A freeper actually worked for the phone company responsible for the calls and the tally. She said they were monitored and investigated and it was determined that absolutely nothing untoward happened to affect the vote.

They all have earpieces in all the time. Taylors fell out during Elvis week. It's not to feed them the lyrics, I think it's to hear the band properly,...I haven't read far enough see if someone answered this, but you are correct it's a monitor so they can hear the band properly.

Elliott can actually do the hip hop stuff and you can see it in his up tempo tunes. (Hand extended, wax on, wax off) Looks a bit dorky but I think that about most white boys who rap and do modern R&B. He can also handle a bunch of other stuff that people don't realize which might play well with the under 20 crowd but won't likely advance his talents.
Between JDF and the national Jewish lite organizations there are great promotional opportunities there for him. I just hope he picks smart.
To: misterrob
Name someone bigger than (race baiter) West..... I'll take your word for it on West's popularity as I had never heard of him before he got on the anti-Bush bandwagon. His "music" does not fit into my definition of music, which is one of the appeals of AI. They actually sing nothing hip-hop or gangsta.
My comment was affiliating yourself with someone like West because he is a racist would be like Yamin wanting to do a record with Farrakhan.

I'm sorry! I really tried not to hit post.

West is anti-republican and against white people who don't allow themselves to follow white guilt. That said, he is a powerhouse in modern music.
To: OldFriend
I started watching sometime during the season Fantasia won, so last season was my first full one. I've only voted for Taylor and Elliot and that just started 2 weeks ago.
Last season my husband watched all while pretending to not be interested, but this season he really likes Taylor. Tuesday he sends me a text message at work and ends with "GO TAYLOR!!" So, he's come around, too. :-D

Wasn't there an In Living Color skit about a Jewish rapper?
To: misterrob
Between JDF and the national Jewish lite organizations there are great promotional opportunities there for him. I just hope he picks smart. I also hope he picks smart. Just FYI, Kelly Clarkson is going to make up the two dates in Israel she had to miss when she got sick at the end of her last tour. I have no word on when, but will definitely find out. It would be cool if Elliott were able to hook up with her in some way for those two dates, although their schedules might not have room for it.

Don't recall that one but there is a Jewish rap group out there today. Chutzpah I believe.....
