JMO, I would be they are afraid of people screaming, "NOT FAIR!!" and contacting their lawyers if someone whips out their guitar or whatever and gets more votes then someone who didn't. It's a shame because when they did it on Canadian Idol 2, it brought the house down.

Yeah but a lot of men take it to the extreme....
To: EmilyGeiger
I saw that. Elliot is a classy guy. His humble attitude, great work ethic, willingness to accept criticism and use it to make himself better will carry him a long way in this profession. He is going to be just fine.

Already saw this one.
If anyone wants to send him a note with their thoughts I would be happy to forward it on to him.

Power dialing has been an issue for AI since season one. Justin Guarini is the real president... errrr... American Idol! Expose Diebold/Rove now!

Hey that would be a great idea. We might could do a thread to him. :) I don't know how to start one though.
Elliot, Taylor and Mandisa were always my favorites this year. I liked Chris too, but I really love soulful music. I am anticipating the cd Elliot will make.

That picture of Taylor and Kat is a "Caption This" opportunity.
"Should I guys?"

I think it's to hear the band properly, but I'm not 100% certain. In order to give you an accurate answer, I took the following from a website about hearing devices for singers and musicians.
For the singer, monitoring of one's voice is essential during singing in allowing for vocal adjustments. Impaired self-monitoring caused by hearing loss or trying to sing over background music that is too loud can lead to vocal abuse. In-the-ear monitors benefit the performer in sound quality, clarity, and performance. In other words, they hear themselves more clearly.
This also reinforces for me just how remarkable Elliott's talent is -- that he can sing so well despite the handicap of being deaf in one ear.

Go ahead, we're already in TSBR.....;-)

He does that stuff anyway. Offer still stands though. Please don't misunerstand, misterrob. I thoroughly appreciate your offer. I'd just rather help a kid if possible. If you do get an autographed photo and send it to me, I would probably find a child to give it to. :)

I totally agree with you. I think they should be able to use all of the musical ability they've got, especially at this stage of the competition. But we all know there are some whiners out there.

As I've mentioned, I love both Taylor and Elliott. I was hoping for a finale with the two of them. Now that it's Taylor and Katharine, there's only one winner for me and that's Taylor by a mile.

Chris and Taylor are very different, but I think it would be cool to have them sing together. They've both shown versatility, and passion for music. I bet they could find some really unique common ground for a duet, and they should play their GEETARS! That would be a hoot!

After the tour is done Elliott might come home for a bit but he is going to be told that he needs to move on. Outside of his family and some friends there is nothing here for him. I know that some of his family members are going to push him to leave.
There have been some very serious inquiries made about his future availability by people who's names are very well known in the music industry. He also has someone very huge in Hollywierd who wants to make sure he winds up with the right agent who will look out for his interests. Many other people out there want to see him succeed including the Jewish community and the Juvenile Diabetes groups. None of this will happen here in Richmond.
I hope that he is willing to leave his home behind and move on.

It all boils down to song choice. If Paula or Clive had chosen "Ooh, Ooh Child Things are Going to Get Easier" by the Spiral Staircase, as originally planned, Eliot would have hit a grand slam.
Unfortunately both Clive and Paula unintentionally sabotaged Eliot by their final song requests.
To: Wolfstar
No misunderstanding. You were a good fan and should have something as well. Hey, if we can convince him to leave Richmond and move to LA you might someday get a chance to tell him what you think of his music.

Good news!! Did you just save a bunch of money on your car insurance by switching to GEICO?
