Do you remember how he hid the gold ticket in his hat. I thought that was so cute! I also thought the way his wife tackled him was adorable.

No thanks.

I have nothing further to discuss with you if your ability to converse honestly is this suspect. Good. Why don't you leave the thread and never come back.
It's because of your sexually crude posts that this thread was moved to the Smoky Backroom.
So now you lecture me about what I post? LOL

They had 24 lines at the start, they should have 6 each at least for the finals. Even last night they could have had more.

Gracias.
I can't believe Screechy McScreecherson is going to be in the Final Two - I can't take three more songs from her! Argh.
Who is all text voting next week? I don't have cingular, and I'm not about to go out and buy a phone to do it. I'm not that obessessed - I just REALLY don't want Screechy to win.

"Why don't you leave the thread and never come back."Likely because I've been on this site for five years longer than you.
You're a fraud and aren't man enough to admit your were caught scuffing the ball.
You don't host this site or pay for its bandwidth. I'll post to this thread and any other I deem necessary like I always have and always will.

Listen to Simon's comments at the very end of Taylor's audition http://www.soulpatrolshirts.com/media/change_idol.mp3
Here's the thing about Simon -- he's about the word -- COMMERCIAL. He looks at Taylor and doesn't know how to market him. He sees Chris Daughtry or Carrie Underwood for instance and immediately see the niche he can sell them to ( Daughtry to the current ALT/GRUNGE rock world and Carrie simply by pointing her to Nashville. With Taylor, he's at a loss how to go about marketing the man. THAT is the reason why he argued with Randy in the auditions regarding the word -- COMMERCIAL ( Simon has always admitted that Taylor has a good voice even from the first day ( note his remark -- IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE VOICE... ) ).
What he does not realize that there are millions of Soul Patrolers not only here in the USA but in at least 10 countries worldwide. THAT's a MULTI-PLATINUM CD right there.
For so long the Baby Boomers and Gen Xers have been ignored by the music industry... in comes Taylor Hicks who gives them the music they used to love. THIS IS A DEMOGRAPHIC WITH MONEY TO SPEND. YOU CANNOT IGNORE THEM ( people like me for instance) simply because you think that their music isn't "modern" enough for today's pop scene.
Taylor Hicks has brought back the music that has been lost for so long.
In fact, listening to that audition again, my suggestion for Taylor's first CD would be to entitle it -- A LONG TIME 'A COMIN' (in honor of the verse in the song he first sang ).

A fraud? I never claimed the screencap was from tonight's show. I chose that pic because I liked it and, yes, it was the most recent one available.
This is where I get ALL the screencaps that I used tonight. You'll find the McPic there.

He may not pay for it but he is the host so why not try to show him a little respect? Doing this thread takes some work.
And for the record, Kat told me she left you a long time ago, Mr. ED.

Ditto's on the "Great job on the thread!" I can't believe that the finals are next week (plus the final 2 hours of '24').
I went back and found something interesting. One of the other participants in the thread predicted McPhee and Ace in the finals.
I responded:
"I say McPhee and Taylor Hicks...
Ace is a Constantine wanna be...
We'll call him Lt. Dan Jr."

"He may not pay for it but he is the host so why not try to show him a little respect?"Because he tries to pass a dated photo of a contestant's father with this nonsense from another poster:
"Katherine's Dad was grinning broadly when it was announced that Eliot had been eliminated. It was really disgusting"
When he was called on it, he went lawyer.
Nothing respectable about that.

For the record, her family did show great pleasure when Elliott was announced as the one going home whereas Taylor's family sat there quite subdued. Plenty of other people have commented on it as well.
I don't recall our host claiming that was the exact photo but it looked all too familiar to many of us. Kat's family exhibited no class tonight.
