Taylor is gonna have to drop the G-bomb next Tuesday, collateral damage be damned. And use that harmonica! McPhee wouldn't stand a chance :)

Now that it's down to McPhee and Taylor, Taylor (and the Soul Patrol) will crush her!Crossing my fingers it will be so. Taylor is quirky, but like millions of others, I've come to enjoy his quirkiness. I love his voice, his musicality, his performing ability.
Musically, Katharine is just meh. There's just no there, there.

I shudder to think that we might be getting all three if she wins. Ugh! Ugh is right--don't even say that! :)

Which is a bummer. Maybe I'm being naive, but I hate to think this show is totally contrived.I don't think it's totally contrived, but quite a bit of manipulation does occur.

Not only can he not govern, but he can't dance either. You know he'd lose votes with that! :) LMAO!
No politician should ever dance! No good will come from it :)

Elliot ... wow ... short of winning, he couldn't have left on a better note. This is one episode that needs to be recorded and saved--it's that good.I am recording it. Will leave my computer momentarily to go feed the dogs, then settle in to watch the recording a little later.

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)

"Crossing my fingers it will be so. Taylor is quirky, but like millions of others, I've come to enjoy his quirkiness. I love his voice, his musicality, his performing ability. Musically, Katharine is just meh. There's just no there, there"It comes down to musical identity. Taylor has it in spades, Katherine doesn't have a definable musical identity.
This is why she needs to win this thing if she is ever to have a recording career of consequence. Taylor, on the other hand, will succeed in this business no matter the outcome of next week.

AND whip out the harmonica. :) I said the same thing! Taylor is DEADLY with a harmonica :o

And use that harmonica!I have been longing for that harmonica ever since he pulled it out back during the Hollywood cut. I don't think they're allowed to use musical instruments though. :(

"I don't think they're allowed to use musical instruments though"They do on tour, which is another reason to see them in person if you can.

Chris is amazing all around! - Thanks for the post!
To: silent_jonny
"I don't even have a functioning VCR"That would explain your misuse of the Daddy McPhee screen cap.
Unless it was deliberate.

This is why she needs to win this thing if she is ever to have a recording career of consequence. Taylor, on the other hand, will succeed in this business no matter the outcome of next week.Although the success of Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Josh Gracin (plus the effect the show, itself, has on record sales) has helped open more doors for former Idol contestants, only a tiny, tiny handful of non-winners are succeeding. The notion that someone is better off if they don't win has proven to be a total fallacy so far.
But Idol crossed an important threshold with Kelly Clarkson's double Grammy win. Maybe more non-winners will be given changes now. We'll see.
Even if Katharine wins, she won't have a recording career of consequence, because her ultimate goal is to become a movie actress. She said so during her Good Day L.A. interview. For her, a recording contract is a stepping stone, not a goal in itself. That's another reason I don't want her to win -- that, and she's the entertainer Taylor is.

I had that thought last night when I encountered more busy signals but especially tons of those "the call you were trying to make..." or whatever.
I think the approximate vote totals are accurate, although deceptively so. This is what happens when the phone lines are maxed out...you get a statistical tie! I believe AI completely engineered this to show there is no "true" favorite left in this competition and to heighten the drama...ratings above all else, right? Don't believe it...not for a minute! Taylor is the winner all the way!
Let me explain it this way. For instance, if there are 100 people trying to vote for Taylor and 50 trying to vote for Kat, but only 25 votes can be accepted for either contestant at any one time, it results in a statistical tie because they each received the max of 25 votes. So, even though Taylor is receiving more attempted votes, Kat and Taylor end up tied based on the actual vote count.
Hopefully, next week they will open up more phone lines...but I wouldn't count on it. TEXT VOTES ARE GOING TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE NEXT WEEK!! DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO TEXT THOSE VOTES...
To: Senator Goldwater; silent_jonny
Ooops...my prior post should end with, "She's nowhere near the entertainer Taylor is."
