I can't wait for his CD's to start coming out! ,p>(ie:Taylor).

I wrote early on this season that on stage, Taylor reminds me of Eddie Money....a little wacky, into the music, and really in sync with the audience. I can't listen to Eddie Money any more without thinking about the on-stage anctics.

Taylor is like that. He is going to be huge in mid-size venues and casino theatres. His DVDs will be best sellers. While he's at it, he should have Eliot as his opening act (once the AI commitment is over). Besides that, I would listen to their CDs as much as I do the great stars from the past.

Katherine....I just don't get it. No way would I listen to that un-emotional screaching on a CD, or go to listen to a concert of it. That Somewhere Over the Rainbow? (at least when she sits down she screaches less)...Buffy Stewart did a beautiful rendition on one of John Stewart's more recent CDs. Katherine's rendition was sacrilige in comparison.

Paula was right....Katherine looked beautiful in her wardrobe, hair style, and makeup selections last night. Singing? She just isn't emotional about it.

Making a leap here of course but assuming it is Taylor and Kat in the finals, to whom do you think most of Elliot's votes will migrate? I have my thoughts but would like yours.

He seemed to get a little bored a few weeks ago, but then it was like he said, "Screw that" and just did his Tay Tay thing.

Yep. He seemed to be listening to Simon about toning it down and did not have a good couple of weeks. Then for Queen week he went out and lit up Crazy Little Thing Called Love (I called it "Taylor just being Taylor). From then on he has been true to himslef and it is Simon that has come around. He just needs to stick exactly to that. Just be himself and he'll be fine.

I think that for the final show they usually get to pick one song and then they have to sing a schmaltzy song AI people pick about achieving their dreams.

I noticed that he seems to be really digging deeper into the songs when he does that.

I agree but it just looks weird to me. :)

I would buy his cds in a minute!

Other than Taylor, they're all pretty much just babies.

I think that Paris' schtick with the baby voice hurt her. She has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. I saw her on Glenn Beck's show and he commented about her talking like mickey mouse. In a few short moments she lowered her voice and spoke beautifully. Her attempt to seem young, backfired....just my opinion.

For sure I don't like her parents glaring at the Judges when they criticize Kat. Better they would have told her to take their criticism to heart.

I'm not sure. I'll say they will probably split with a slim majority sliding to Taylor.

Katherine will probably do pretty well with the sappy songs AI picks.

How did you know to even look for that?

Good find!

Exactly. He was trying to fit the mold and it just didn't work. I think you said earlier that he gives it all on stage like each show is his last and that's so true. Stevie Ray Vaughn said that same thing- you better leave it on the stage, because you never know when it may be your last show. Unfortunately, he was right. :-(

I posted this as a side dish. Not sure what, if anything, this has to do with AI. But news is news:

Ex-Beatle Paul McCartney Splits From Wife

LONDON (Reuters) - Former Beatle Paul McCartney and his second wife Heather Mills are to separate after four years of marriage, the couple confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.

McCartney, 63, and former model Mills, 38, who married at a lavish wedding ceremony in Ireland in June 2002, had decided to split because constant media intrusion had made "it increasingly difficult to maintain a normal relationship".

"Having tried exceptionally hard to make our relationship work given the daily pressures surrounding us, it is with sadness that we have decided to go our separate ways," the statement said.

"Our parting is amicable and both of us still care about each other very much."

The couple, who have a two-year-old baby girl called Beatrice, met in 1999 at a charity event, a year after the death of McCartney's first wife, photographer Linda Eastman, from breast cancer.

The announcement follows weeks of speculation in British newspapers about the state of the couple's relationship.

The Daily Mirror reported on Wednesday that the split had come about because the singer could no longer cope with the couple's bitter rows.

YEah....the schmalzty, syrupy, Diane Warren tripe will not do Taylor any favors. Hopefully they do two different songs geared toward their strengths like they did with Rueben and Clay.

All the more reason I want to see Elliott in the finals with Taylor. He may not have hit one out of the park last night, but he has worked hard and improved each week by building on the advice he gets. He has learned from the criticism, rather than taken it personally, and has done so with a grace and maturity that Katherine doesn't have yet.

I saw SRV three times live. In 1985, 1986 and in 1990 just weeks before his death. He was exhausted at the end of every show. Unbelievable performer and one of te guitar greats of all time. It was an honor to see him play.

Kat will be in the finals. She will lose to Taylor. It's almost not worth watching. The outcome is clear as a bell. Simon knows it. We all know it.

I beleive you're right, however it's well worth watching because you never know what MIGHT happen on the show besides who the obvious winners may be, and musical career paths they may take.

Chris did "Dead Or Alive" playing his guitar on "Regis" and it was excellent!! Everyone is going to be speculating on which way he's going to go.

Just got four tickets to Idol in B'ham! Good lower level seats- $58+ a ticket with all the junk fees! My twelve year old daughters have been to all the Idol shows so far and we are looking forward to this one.

And while we're on the subject of Katherine:), I'm sick of seeing her "teary eyed" father.

I'm sitting here watching the show again right now, and Katherine just finished singing her first song, and I have to say this, the girl is a whiner.

From the moment I saw Kat I knew exactly where the immaturity spoiled brat level was at. You can just see it in her immediately.

If she gets that, and her oversinging vocal under control she's going to be incredibly great as a singer!

What's incredible about SRV is not just SRV's talent as a guitarist, but his band's talent. I play his music in the band I'm in and it's HARD to get just the right feel for those songs. Me and the guitarist are still arguing 3 years later about how to come into the ending of "Cold Shot!"
