Did you happen to watch any of his performances? He kills on the harp! He did Feelin' Alright several times and his own version of Jail House Rock was amazing. It was nothing like the AI performance. He was able to cut loose and be who he is. I want to go to his concerts. He also always highlighted the other musicians when they were doing solos. Taylor's band is really good.
I was trying to find a download of Feelin' Alright. I wsanted to hear that one.
Wow. If he's been "holding back" on the show, it's no wonder women fainted when he wasn't holding back!
I would love to see all of his home town footage. I can understand them cutting it down to avoid the appearance of playing favorites, but I do hope we can see that footage someday in some form.
I downloaded from there earleir and it doesn't wsant to work for me. Keeps wsanting to open real player instead of quicktime. No biggy, I'll just keep my eyes open.
Think of the exposure that Taylor just gave his band yesterday? If any of the clips make it out of Alabama, that is. Hopefully, important people download clips and see. I would LOVE to have seen the faces of the AI people following him, when he and his band did their version of Jailhouse Rock! WOOOHOOO!! LMAO
Me, too!
Just download real -- it is free.
I have realplayer, but for whatever reason that clip won't play on it. I just updated it, too, which sucks because now it wants to take over quicktime!
From FUEL's website

All right. Check it out. Here's the deal.
Normally, obviously, we would never even think about anyone from Am Idol as a singer for Fuel. However, ever since Chris sang Hemorrhage on the show, we began paying attention. Sorry, the show's not my thing, but at least most of the finalist can sing and aren't Britney Spearing it up there. However, Chris in my opinion has carried himself well on the show and has stayed true to his rock side, which is a serious credit to him considering the format. We have found some great guys through the audition process and in fact, were already headed in other directions when Chris unexpectedly got voted off the show. The phones started ringing. So now what? I think anyone would say that we would at least have to entertain the idea of Chris and Fuel. The websites have been flooded with support for the idea ever since he sang Hemorrhage from most of you. So that is what we are doing. We are entertaining the idea and the offer to Chris was that we would be willing to entertain him as an option. However, there is a lot to discuss and be decided. Is it right for us? Would it be the right thing for Chris? Would he even be able to get out of the contractual obligations to Am Idol? Would we be able to get things squared with Sony? So nothing is cut and dry, even if both camps thought it was right thing to do, it still might be impossible to work out all the details. Chris and I have discussed the possibility before and we are still entertaining the idea. Either way, never fear, we are coming with a great lead singer very soon who we are very excited about and rolling out a record this year.

Well, of course he has been! Every time he goes to town on a number, Simon accuses him of being drunk.
Hopefully Taylor will have the sense to "let it rip" now!
You don't think Elliott should win? Does he want to?
I will support him to the end. He wants to win it and while a lot of the Taylor Kool Aid drinkers think he has this locked up, he doesn't. I would be the first to tell you that his is likely the front runner of the three that remain though. Head to head anything can happen and while plenty of people are impressed by Taylor's performances with his band, the band, the harmonica and harp will not be on stage with Taylor at the Kodak theatre. Taylor has a lot of fans and I can see why. He's a fun guy and he has delivered his share of good performances this year. But, there are more than a few people out there who don't care for him personally (if you haven't met him that your opinion means nothing in my book), they don't like his music or what his fans consider performances, his detractors call antics and wedding singer like. He's somewhat polarizing.
None of this matters because he's on the train to stardom and in my book it is well deserved.
People should also give anyone who lasts deep into the show some real respect. The hours are brutal, the expectations continue to increase and the Three Stooges at the judges table are fickle and whimsical. How great was it for Taylor and Elliott to go home and see family and friends for 36 hours? These people are away from family, friends and support networks. As an aside, Elliott scheduled time to go visit his dog. Man's best friend counts a lot as a way of having downtime.
With respect to your question: Elliott is a really nice guy that has a hard time saying "No". He is always the last one off the Red Carpet after the show because in his mind a fan who wants a picture taken or an autgraph gets one. I fear that 19 E will chew him up and spit him out because Simon Fuller is a pimp. The arrangement that exists between the 19 E companies leaves no one out there looking out for the artist's best interests. E and Taylor are not Pop singers but rather artists that appeal to audiences that don't listen to Top 40. I suspect that Elliott can actually sing music that appears on R&B charts and appeals to teens and tweeners but I know that's not what he wants to do. I suspect Taylor would say, "Over my dead body" than sing the bubble gum or other Pop crap that the 19 E company would try and stick him with.
Watching the clip from Galleria where he does Will It Go round in circles, now from MYFOXAL.com
Got a kick out of how in the middle of the song he gets in a slam to Simon Cowel and lot of shout outs to the Soul Patrol! WOOOO!

I got one more spy. This time a friend who spent some time in the vicinity of the Final Four. So here are four things this person told me. See if you can line them up to the correct Idol...
1. One is weird but fairly relaxed and easy to get along with.
2. One is arrogant and full of her/himself.
3. One is as sweet and decent as a human being can be.
4. One is, in the words of my friend, a total pain.
Let the match game begin.
Oh, and P.S. Three of them are major chain smokers.
snip
Marilyn Manson greets the Idols at the front door of Graceland. Oh wait, thats Priscilla Presley.
I wold guess Tay, Kat, E, and Chris in that order.
I would agree. Guessing the chain-smokers is harder. I'd say Chris and Elliott are smokers. The third one I'd guess is Taylor, though I wouldn't have thought so before this.
Well, nuts, I've played all the Galleria clips from MYFOXAL and Feelin' Alright isn't there.
I see they did do some of his original songs like Soul Thing though. Good advertising. :)
Looks like even the servers had fun passing out the Taylor Kool Aid. My guess is that it was Blues-berry, which is a lot better than SOUR-GRAPES!
