I'll have to check that out. My husband is a gatorade junky and we always have tons of it in the house, but it's too sugary to me.
BTW, your post reminds me that another thing I took by the handful was acidophilus (healthy bacteria). I took several tablets several times daily. I believe that also helped me shake that nasty bug.

The Daughtry story coming up on FNC.

Clearly Chris thought he had the title in the bag weeks ago. He really, really did think he was going to be the next AI, and he was TOTALLY unprepared to be voted off. People may have picked up on this and that doesn't always set well.

Thanks, not only is Gatorade full of sugar but all those artificial colors, yuck.
There is also something called Smart Water. It's got electrolytes too but is so expensive. These little packets of EmergenC are only pennies a glassful.

FUEL is signed with Epic Records which is a division of Sony/BMG. Maybe that is why he has been saying practically from day one that his voice is ready for the studio.

Simon Cowell's Sony-BMG Deal
SIMON COWELL GETS FIVE YEAR MUSIC RIGHTS.
Transatlantic TV talent judge SIMON COWELL has struck a new deal with Sony BMG giving him label rights to his artists, including stars from his hit UK show THE X FACTOR, for a further five years.
The move comes after the music mogul's TV production company Syco extended his deal with US broadcaster Fox for the same length of time.
Cowell says, "BMG has been my home for the last 15 years. I am incredibly excited to be working with one of the most talented and visionary companies in the world."
TIM BOWEN of Sony BMG also expressed pleasure at the agreement: "Simon Cowell is arguably the most important creative force in popular music television and pop music in the world.
"We are incredibly proud to have extended our relationship with him."

Here is a logical and I think believable response I read to someone who asked the same question --- WHY DID TAYLOR GET TO SING HIS SONG AGAIN ? ( leave aside the patronizing remarks about Elliott and Kat ).
I got this from Graycharles' web blog
I am still REALLY bothered and perplexed as to why they had Taylor do his JHR again last night. We know it was scripted (Rebecca - spill the beans!)
RESPONSE :
Its not that hard to understand. A small part of it was to build suspense. They knew that Taylors fans would be scared it foreshadowed his shocker departure. However, the bigger reason is marketing.
American Idol has to sell a nationwide arena tour with these singers. Then, they have to market an album. So lets review the bidding:
The AI folk know the voting over the course of the season. Taylor Hicks has dominated the voting. According to Dial Idol, he was the top vote getter among the men for 2 of the 3 weeks. The other week, he was second. And, all of those were by huge margins over the next best finisher. Since the finals started with 12 singers, Taylor has been the top vote getter for 8 out of 9 weeks, often by substantial margins.
The show has worked very hard to pimp contenders Chris, Katherine, etc. However, they have been unable to put a dent in Taylors commanding support.
So, after they knew Chris was gone, where does this leave them? With a front-runner that has been bashed week after week after week by Simon Cowell, including a total trashing on Tuesday night. Thats a problem. At some point, the show has to put the next American Idol on a pedestal. It isnt going to sell arena show tickets if the TV show convinces the public that their star is a third-rate wedding singer. Theyve got some pimping to do.
Secondly, what have they got left? Remember, theyve got a national tour with 10 singers to sell. And, those shows have to build to a climax when the marquee singer (your Americal Idol) takes the stage and blows the rafters off the place. Come on
its only rock n roll.
Do you want to build to the introduction of
. Elliot? I mean the guy has a nice set of pipes, but I dont think Elliot Yamin is likely to do much damage to arena rafters over the course of a summer tour. Hes not exactly headline material. Hes made regular appearances in the bottom 3.
Katherine? OK. They could give her a lot of cleavage and stripper pole. But, unfortunately, she cant deliver the goods vocally. When the pressures on, shes choked week after week with her performances. Can she bring her A game night after night on a major tour? Singing what? Against All Odds? All Shook Up?
Look at the big picture. Last nights encore of Jailhouse Rock should be viewed as product placement for the upcoming arena tour and album. Does anyone NOT think Taylor will be doing Jailhouse Rock on the Idol Tour? Ya gotta get em dancing in the aisles at an arena rock show.
Look at the group song last night. Nice Elvis medley. But, everytime Taylor stepped out front and center, it was like upping the voltage in the house from 120 volts to 240 volts. Purely from a showmanship standpoint, he delivers the goods.

If your summary is correct of the Chris interview (and I trust your judgment on this thread), he comes off as a bit arrogant and frankly, an ass.
C'mon Chris, there are only 4 people left, and at least two of them performed better or equally well as you on Tuesday night. Plus they didn't talk about all their "numerous" fan clubs or their undies. Don't believe everything Simon tells you, you were good, but so is the competition.
Obviously, Chris thought himself the Chosen One as much as many of us did.
To: Netizen
People may have picked up on this and that doesn't always set well.Maybe. Hard to say, but if he was coasting because he thought it was in the bag, then he made a huge mistake. And you're right, even if not consciously, people are certainly capable of intuitively picking up on it.

Here is an interesting comment from MSNBC Entertainment Columnist Craig Berman implying that Simon would have had an easier time had Chris Daughtry won. He is now implying that the three remaining wont be easy to sell and wont have long sucessful careers.
You opinions as usual, are welcome
.
HERE IS THE KEY EXCERPT ( CUT AND PASTE )
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12729017/
Even Simon Cowell looked surprised, probably because its finally hitting him that hell have to help market the album of the eventual winner. Its not going to be as easy as it was last season when all he had to do was point Carrie Underwood in the direction of Nashville and start counting the cash.
Can Graymates put Taylor over the top?
Will this years champion be Taylor Hicks, who owes much of his success to a manic stage presence that may not translate to the audio-only CD? Will it be McPhee, who copes so well under pressure that shes had two mediocre weeks in a row? Or will it be feisty underdog Elliott Yamin, who lacks anything resembling star quality?
None of the remaining three have the presence of Underwood or Kelly Clarkson, or the powerful voice of Fantasia Barrino. Hicks may have the winning stage personality of Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard, but it isnt like Studdards career is the roadmap any of the remaining finalists want to follow.
Daughtry alone among the remaining finalists had a musical style that suited both his personality and his voice. There was no doubt who he was when he grabbed the microphone, and unfortunately for him, that wasnt a recipe for success. He was this years designated rocker, and rockers dont ever win American Idol. Maybe he can join former Idol also-rans Bo Bice and Constantine Maroulis and form an Idolpalooza tour instead.
Of the remaining three finalists, Hicks appears to be in the best shape. Hes never been one of the lowest finishers in the competition, and he impresses everyone each week despite looking like an out-of-control marionette onstage. And lets be honest women dig the gray hair.
At least, one woman does and no, its not Paula Abdul. Well, at least not only Paula Abdul. Rebecca Romijn was in the audience, solely because shes a huge fan of the show and not at all because shes in the new X-Men movie coming out in a couple of weeks or anything. She requested that Hicks give an encore performance of one of his Tuesday songs, Jailhouse Rock. He complied. Turning down a former supermodel is never a smart thing to do, even with her fiancé in the audience. After all, its not like she was actually wearing the engagement ring.
Sounds like Romijn would actually buy a Taylor Hicks album, at least. Simon Cowell, for one, has to be starting to hope that a lot of other people will join her.

I just saw the story on FNC...
An e-mail was sent that said that he called the number that Ryan gave for Chris...(Fox even showed the show part where Ryan gave the phone numbers for Chris)...
The e-mailer said he called that number for Chris...and it went to KAT!!!
Martha seemed to indicate that they had a lot of emailers saying the same.

Ok, so this is not the same as the other poster saying Ryan gave the wrong # out. It sounds like something hard to prove and perhaps phony controversy by some alienated fans. However, if true and provable, I'm all for replacing Kat with Chris!
To: over3Owithabrain
If your summary is correct of the Chris interview (and I trust your judgment on this thread)...Thanks. The summary is indeed what happened. Other than my brief comments about his personality, which I've mentioned on the thread before, I deliberately left off any of my own opinions so people could form their own.
Obviously, Chris thought himself the Chosen One as much as many of us did.
This is true, based on his comments this morning. He genuinely, honestly was stunned to have been voted off. So was everyone else connected with the show, including the other contestants.

Kat not going was the real stunner overall. But every week she seems to do better vote-wise than expected. I still don't trust that Hollywood connection her crybaby dad has.
To: Texas2step
If Chris fans are going to Kat then it's based purely on superficial ooks. alt-rock fans like nothing about what Kat does. It's 180 degree's different.
To: over3Owithabrain
will Fuel wait almost a year before they can record or perform w/Daughtry?
The contract doesn't prohibit him from signing with someone else as long as he fulfills the contractual obligations - do the summer tour and no album/song released until 3 months after the finale show, as long as it is after the winners album (which won't take 3 months), maybe some other appearances after that.
The "one year" obligation began in February. He (or he with his band) could have a record come out by September.
To: over3Owithabrain
Some are saying on another froum that the offer to Chris is coming from LIVE.

Well....if the number Seacrest gave that was supposed to go to Chris, went to vote for KAT...then it WAS the wrong humber...
I am curious to see if this goes somewhere...you would think that if enough people had e-mailed the same story, (before it was reported today)...then I would look for Chris to be back next week...
Then, I guess they would have to have a double elimination the next week.
I heard on Glenn Beck's radio show today a woman caller that said she spent 2 hours calling for Chris and voted for him like 400 or 600 (I can't remember which) times last night...
Now, if one person voted THAT many times for Chris...I just cannot believe (like I couldn't last night)..that he lost.
Maybe, just maybe...those all went to Kat....uh,oh!
