And, he should have kicked Seacrest's ass on tv last night. Major disrespect.A familiar setup in my eyes. I despise the man. Chris was always a class act, imo, and Seacrest is just what I said he was some time ago. A dagger specialist.

I bet they examine their own performances closer than the NFL.
IMO, T was given another chance at Jailhouse Rock.
Look at the beginning of Tuesday night's performance, compared to Wed. and it's like night and day.
I even commented to hubby on Tuesday, "Why doesn't he even acknowledge the audience?"
Rebecca ____ Stamos was there to plug her new XMen movie and *happened* to request T's encore performance.

Sounds exactly like what my fave Texas relative has right now. Some nasty bug making it's way across the country. Some NYers are sick as can be too.

I take special pleasure in the smaller things of Elliott on AI.
As I said some time ago, that little "yeah" click in his encore of On Broadway.
This time it was watching him pick up the microphone at the end of Trouble and smile. One could surmise that he had meant to do it earlier and forgotten or something, so he just added it on and sheepishly smiled at the end.
He's as much fun to watch as my children were when younger.
And, quite frankly, I laughed aloud when he pointed to his eye on one of the earlier shows while singing. The cheesiest thing in the world but so very Elliott. Which made it sweet and ok after all.

I'll sing the Schlocky Power Ballad,
Although it hurts my inner-ear ways,
Tonight, I'll compromise,
I'll sing it THEIR WAY.ROFLMAO!! That's terrific, Palladin! And so true!
I just remember how tortured Bo seemed last year, singing that awful song ... and I was feeling kinda tortured right along with him! I understand that they want to have both finalists sing the same thing, but I wish they'd pick a standard instead. Those dreadful "original" songs that they come up with ... jeesh. Some really crappy stuff there.

Reviews? I read Elliott's posts daily and the results postings. Haven't been on it long enough to get around that much yet, besides spending all of my spare time rounding up new Efans.
It is a sight of much brilliance, imo. I love it. Just wish they could tone down the word usage, and I don't mean the word "word" as they use it. I mean the bad words.
Reminds me of that French historical period when wittiness was so favored and practised. Bit of Shakespeare as well. Some Gogol and Dostoevsky thrown in for good measure.
Yep, great reading, just overlook the potty words.

He's singing here in Richmond tomorrow. You ARE going to take pics and post them here, right? Huh? Of course? Absolutely?
BTW, should you actually get a chance to say howdy to him, please let Elliott know that the adults are in his corner! :)

It is so nasty. It was the sickest I have been in years. Mucinex really helped with the chest congestion and that's available w/o a prescription now.
Tons and tons of fluids helped me with the dizziness a bit. Lots of tea, water and gatorade.

There are some powders at the health food store that have lots of electrolytes and no artificial junk. They're filled with Vitamin C and minerals too........BRB, I'll check the name of the stuff I keep handy.
Emer'gen-C
I am sure you've heard it advertised. It's got 1,000 mg of Vit C plus 32 active mineral complexes and B vitamins
Electrolye balanced.........just add water.
It comes in various flavors too.....all no calories. No sugars.
Daughter is a marathon runner and she loves the stuff. We both use it for allergies, etc. It's a real boost.

As I've been doing every Thursday, I watched Good Day L.A. this morning while getting ready for work. Chris was on, of course. He almost immediately hinted that he's been approached with a good offer -- emphasize hinted, since they aren't allowed to seriously consider any other offers until their AI contract expires. But I think we can read between the lines, because Nigel Lythgoe and Clive Davis (a power behind the recording part of the AI business) have always made sure to tie up the losing contestants they believe have the most commercial potential.
Chris said he was surprised to be voted off. He thinks it's because everyone thought he was safe and was a lock for the finals, so people voted for other favorites they thought were more in danger.
Dorothy Lucey (a big-time Dim liberal, BTW, ugh!) asked him what happens now. Does he go home for a visit? That sort of thing. After the hint about big things to come, Chris said he didn't know if he'd have time to get home because rehearsals for the finale start soon. Lucey asked him how his wife felt. Chris said his wife took it really well, and that she was the one who calmed Chris down, not the other way around.
Lucey asked him what it was like backstage after the show ended last night, and Chris said everyone was stunned and didn't know what to say. He said backstage was pretty quiet. Chris observed that it was only Tuesday morning when Simon was doing a round of interviews and predicting that he, Chris, and Katharine would be the final two. He also observed that Simon thought Chris would win. Clearly Chris thought he had the title in the bag weeks ago. He really, really did think he was going to be the next AI, and he was TOTALLY unprepared to be voted off.
Who knows, maybe that false sense of certitude made Chris coast these last several weeks. Maybe he's been playing it too safe, and maybe Chris has a lot more in him than we've seen. He will definitely get some kind of contract and a chance to prove it, so Chris fans shouldn't worry about him.
Finally, Chris was the same this morning as we saw him throughout the season. Outwardly, kind of a flat-line, intense personality. Perhaps this will change as he makes the rounds of Leno, Letterman, and the other shows he'll be booked on.
