"I actually went back and just listened to "In the Ghetto" again last night, eyes closed."
Interesting, I somtiesm do the same thing (eyes closed) when I want to really try and judge a vocal performance without any other stimuli factoring in. Alot more comes out when you do that.

And last I checked, has sold a lot fewer records than Carrie. So maybe the voters got it right after all? (Not a knock on Bo, but rather a positive comment on Carrie and the voters.) I agree. I'm tired of people putting her down because they don't like her type of music. She does what she does well, and she has won awards and people can't just be glad for her. I don't like everything she put on her album but I bought it anyway and put the songs I liked on my computer.
I don't know if this week was an anomoly where Dial Idol and Zabasearch both had the same results, but we the results were exactly like they said. Two different sources. That tells me that Chris' just didn't have the numbers. Maybe they didn't watch, maybe they didn't vote, but its just wrong to blame the other contestants because their fan bases did their jobs.

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)

[Bottom line, Taylor makes me happy just to watch and listen to him. ]
I like Taylor. I keep telling myself he'll probably goes home this week, yet he keeps getting the votes. I don't think he is the best singer, but he's a joy to watch.
He's a great character.

Again, Simon has called Taylor a "very very good singer", so you don't agree with him there. But certainly everyone has their own cup of tea. Even major stars have people who love them and hate them. The fun of AI is we all pick our own favorites and discuss!
To: over3Owithabrain
The way he has handled it and kept on doing his thing and appealing directly to the voters is what has helped keep him on top. I think if Taylor had kept listening to Simon, he would have been gone. I think he decided to do his own thing, just in the nick of time!

The only thing Chris has going for him is the AI exposure. You can go into a bar in any city in the US and find a local band with a lead singer who is just like Chris. It's a "dime-a-dozen" situation, and he'd better cash in on his notoriety quickly, because it will be over soon.I agree, the all rock, all the time act, finally ran out of gas.

Paris mentioned that she had intended to give up music. Get to college, then on to medical school.
Seems as tho she has/had a future aside from music. Perhaps the family pressures led her to move away.
She is talented and mentioned that she was going to do some jazz cd's.
I wish her well. I would buy her cd.
Hopefull that babyvoice is over!

If by some circumstance Kat wins, then God bless her. She's not my fav, but life will go on. Every single one of the finalists are amazing, imo.
Kat's exquisite.
Elliott's inspiring.
Taylor's an icon with contagious enthusiasm.
What a win-win ~ only in America!

Yes! The show has "manipulated" so many of us into talking about it almost non-stop! Love it at times, hate it at times - it's all good for AI! Good performances, bad performances, conspiracies, vote tallies, gossip, etc.
And yet the one constant - the one thing that keeps America glued - is the performances themselves, formerly unheard of talent giving it their all.
To: feinswinesuksass
Hope it's a good one as that's where he belongs...

Perhaps the Jailhouse Rock song by Taylor was unscripted. That sure took more time off the clock. No chance to build suspense about who was being kicked off the island.
Chris got to sing again. Perhaps it was a mercy to have the guillotine come down suddenly.

No surprise at all, and proof that life after AI will be grand for Chris. Winning this thing would have kept him at least a year behind getting a gig like this. Once again, AI discovers someone and puts them on the road to success.
