Wow! That is totally unjust. Katharine should have gone for sure. I think she's gone next week no matter what. If his fans still vote, I doubt they will be voting for her, becaue she should have gone and they know it. (BUT, she did squeak by in votes)

I'm not terribly shocked about Chris being the one to go tonight. Katharine should be going, but we've talked about Chris' limitations several times. I'd rather talk about being absolutely delighted for Elliott. He was the darkest of dark horses and look how far he's come. I think Taylor has to be the favorite to win the competition now, but I hope Elliott makes it to the finale.

I haven't been very impressed with this Elvis tribute; I thought they all kind of punked out.Aw come on--I thought Taylor was pretty good on both of his songs, even though his "In The Ghetto" seemed a bit too peppy. And Elliot was great on "Trouble".

I believe the reason they came to Graceland, other than to prep for Elvis week, was that AI was supposed to come to Memphis during the auditions. That wasn;t done because of Hurricane Katrina. When the flood of people came up from the Gulf coast, Memphis, as well as a lot of other cities, released their reserved hotel rooms to the Gulf Coast residents. With AI coming in, there would have been no rooms available. The AI staff thought it would be better to cancel Memphis in favor of those needing shelter.
Having said that, it was good to have AI in town last weekend. And I thought Kat was gone tonight based on her preformance last night. It was a big surprise that Chris was voted off. Just didn't see that coming.

...it does with 14yo boys... It cuts both ways...lots of 10 to 13 year-old girls out there with their first cell phone supporting "grrl power" gave Kat a boost.
