I am NOT trying to stir the pot here... Zabasearch get their numbers from Cingular and they are based on all votes. I am sure they may be off some. (either Kat or Elliott goes home, most likely it will be Elliott)
The best I can tell you all is to add up the totals as you read them off the Zabasearch chart right now (I came up with 48 to 50 million total votes) then wait until you hear Ryan say how many total votes came in for last night. Last week Zabasearch was right on with the overall totals and who was going home. The week AI had Chris and Kat as the top 2, Zabasearch also had them as the top 2 and the vote totals was right on. I have been following Zabasearch for a few weeks now and they have had it right once they got the final totals up. They tell you when they will have the final totals up, but they will post results as they come in until all the numbers are in. (Watch it next week - right after Tuesdays show, please just don't take my word on it.)

Random **** Moment of the Show- Seacrest explaining boxer briefs to Chris by saying, "They're called hybrids. That's what we call them." Who do you think we is?

90% accuracy with 4 left and such close margins.... Hmmm.
If Chris loses it is because his alt-rock fans aren't hearing that sound from him anymore.
If Kat DOESN'T lose, it is for looks -- pure and simple.

go back to 1510 (where you mention pie charts)
The chart you keep posting is the same as I posted in the last 100 posts...
Taylor 1
Chris 2
Kat 3
Elliott 4

yes the old chart was stuck in my cache... :-(
M-fkrs (Zabasearch) - I still say Zabasearch is more accurate, but I can hardly believe these overall totals now. (all votes placed - if so this would be the biggest night of voting AI has ever seen)
Let me add them up and see what they are now at. BRB

When you click on Zabasearch and get the graph with the results who do you see listed in 4th place?
To: So Cal Rocket
Refresh your page, the old version of the chart is probably still in your cache and that's what you're seeing. I hadn't been to that page before that's why I needed a link. That was the first time I loaded the 'results'.

Per Zabasearch chart... my estimates - but I am not real good at reading the totals when they get between lines :-)
Taylor 12,480,000
Elliott 12,410,000
Kat 12,349,000
Chris 12,348,000
Total 49,587,000 (the total count is about the same as before - they just switched who was going home. I sure wish that was the total amount in my saving account ledger!)
If I recall - vote totals were 46 mil last week.
See what you come up with for a final total of votes.

I have never before gone out to zabasearch, so nothing there is in my cache. This is the chart I see when I type "American Idol" in their search bar.

M-fkrs (Zabasearch) - I still say Zabasearch is more accurate, but I can hardly believe these overall totals now. (all votes placed - if so this would be the biggest night of voting AI has ever seen) You have to remember they are setting up voting areas and people are buying GO phones. There are online text messagings and just all sorts of ways to vote.
With two different sites having the same results, if they tell us that Chris and Kat got the most votes.....
To: stlnative
Why do you think they had such a late update that changed things so much? Also, you might want to change your cache setting to update every time you view the page. You might be set on every time you reboot.
To: Wolfstar
Thanks, thought I was going nuts for a while there! lol

Until Seacrest gives the total tonight, I'll accept these numbers. Nearly half a million votes. WOW! That's approaching national election totals in some low-key non-presidential years.

You probably are viewing old data, too.
To: Wolfstar
It is going to be very interesting to see who goes home tonight. Chris wasn't the worst, will AI use their 'when votes are so close and within the margin of error, they reserve the right to make the final determination' and send Kat home?
To: stlnative
Are those results posted anywhere?
