I hope no one, no parent, no friend, no sibling ever tells ANYONE that this is their last chance to pursue their dreamKristos Voskrese!
My son was told last year he was probably too old to attempt to reach Eagle. He went out and threw himself into and is almost there now. We think in part the challenge of it was what made him really go after it.

If Taylor sucked he would have gone home by now. That's not the point. I'm not so sure it is a put down though more so a comment that the show has deviated from where it started from. Some of these people have real stage experience, music backgrounds and have been coached for years. The early years it was more about finding a singer, now it is about finding a performer.

let's see when they open the show if they claim 48 up to 50 million votes were cast. Last week Zabasearch was right on with voting totals.

3-6 is not the MOE. It's where they could place. The MOE is the 1.564 number that shows to the right of their score. I think the point is that Kat supposedly came in 1 or 2 (though we have no way to verify that), while DI had her listed between 3-5.

Taylor is a real down-to-earth person who enjoys every day to the fullest! It would be nice to have such a normal person (not counting his dancing) for the American Idol.
BTW, no one mentions if Taylor has a girlfriend. Do you know if he's an eligible bachelor? (I am asking for my two unmarried daughters.)

And it isn't the end all rather it just shows trends. but, at this juncture it is less relevant. The spacing on everyone last night was fairly close and out of 4 people there is less and less room at the top.
Still, it has been useful to watch.

Agreed, AI has truly gotten away from the original premise of the show of finding a true undiscovered talent.

I'm not sure how they could be overestimating Taylor's votes when the numbers are based on actual busy signals.
Maybe it's not so much over estimating Taylor's support as it is under estimating the support of those contestants who have a fan base that prefers cell phones and text messages.
That would generally be the younger voters. You know, the ones responsible for buying the majority of the albums and music downloads.
I'm still predicting a very interesting show down between Taylor and Chris in the finals. We'll see.

Dial Idol is going to look stupid, not Zabasearch.
People should not buy into the Dial Idol totals, due to it being only 85% accurate and due to the late software upgrade that Dial Idol folks never got a chance to download.
I vote for Chris and last night both lines were on busy 90% of the time for me, they have never been that busy before. (before it would be 20 votes to 1 busy - last night it was 20 busys to every one vote.)

Yes, but DI posted something on their boards saying that there was an anomoloy in Kat's votes and it seemed to be based on people setting the call frequency too short. They said that based on a small group of computers they managed to throw off the samples. This week required people download an update that was supposed to address it.
For all its flaws that site has actually given people good direction on the voting trends.

Yes he does have a beautiful face. He's real. I think that is such a large part of his appeal.

I happen to know the guy so I take issue when people rag on his teeth.Great. Since you know him, can you see what you can do about a pacific northwest coast performance soon? I am more than willing to drive down to Oregon.
Look, I just don't think it's fair for you guys on the east coast to hog him all to yourselves. He can bring those teeth out here just as they are and I will happily pay for a performance.
In the interests of justice and fairness, please give this some contemplation.

That being said, I really wish Mandisa had lasted longer and I am seriously convinced that her weight turned people off.
I agree. I do believe she did a couple of sub-par numbers in a row, and most of the other "talented" contestants could have survived two sub-par weeks in a row, Mandisa was not given any slack because of her size.
Had she continued to throw down excellent performances, she would have lasted a lot longer, but, sadly, her size probably would have done her in. That's not right, but it's probably the truth.
She is a beautiful woman with a wonderful voice. I will be surprised if she doesn't end up in the entertainment industry somewhere. Probably broadway, or maybe in Gospel music.
