If you're going to give your teeth to anyone, give them to Elliott. LMFAO!!!!!!
To: bert
My teenaged daughter texts and I have wide open lines here in Seattle, so I average 5 votes/minute. We probably hit closer to 1100 votes last night together, and we truly wanted to give it all we had for Elliott.
My husband supports Elliott as well, in fact he was the one who drew my attention to him way back on the show. So he brings us popcorn and drinks while we vote and he helps as a cheerleader. It's a family thing at our house.
I have another teenager (with diabetes), and if it looks tight next week, I am considering gettting another Go phone and lining him up with that one.

I suppose so but if you are just listening to music on your non-video iPod he sounds pretty bland. Not a great or memorable voice. Ditto Chris and Elliot. Close your eyes and just listen to the music. Kat shines. The guys are very so-so. I would buy a Kat CD in a heartbeat.
Funny. I have listened to the mp3 and drew exactly the opposite conclusion.

God gave that man a gift of a golden voice but unfortunately he came with some flaws.Nah, I don't see no stinkin' flaws. Made by God in His image, Elliott is as lovely as anyone else.
I think Freepers like to have fun with whatever they do, and I have certainly laughed to the point of tears on a few threads over the years.

What you hear right now is largely what you're gonna get.Ah well. There are other things she can probably pursue and make a good living doing.

I want Elliot or Chris to be the next Idol. Kat drives me nuts, as does Taylor.
Taylor looks likes he's having seizures--He calls it dancing---

And like with many people, you may not think they are that much to look at at first, until you get to know them, and then they become much more attractive to you because of WHO they are. That is the case with Elliott for me. I think he's a fine looking young man.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed last night's show. I really can't add anything to Wolfstar's assessment, which was as close to perfect as it gets, imo.
Based on performances,Taylor and Elliott ought to be safe, and Kat ought to be the one going home, if all is right in the universe. However, I know it doesn't always go down the way it should.
Who do you predict going home?
To: sissyjane
Taylor looks likes he's having seizures--He calls it dancing---LOL!!!That's exactly what I say about practically all of the dancing these days!

Hey I liked his looks way back too. My husband was calling him the guy that looked like Gomer Pyle and I thought he was cute in a geeky kind of way then.
But then I look at Elliott from a motherly point of view. His sincerity and goofiness was easy to like from that viewpoint. His voice was enough to make me not care at all what he looked like.

Another poster just informed me that Kat does have a professional voice coach. Her mother. Which explains Kat's total lack of discipline! No excuse for forgetting the words to a song.

If either of the top two (Taylor/Elliot) get booted, then you can color me cynical and suspicious.
Dial Idol is not God, and not infallible. It's been shown that in the last two weeks both Katherine and Chris' support have been under estimated.
IMO, this may be because of text messages and cell phone voting. Both Katherine and Chris seem to have a younger audience and these would be their preferred voting methods.
I could be wrong. Personally, I'm puling for a Chris and Taylor show down for the finals. I think this would be the best outcome and it wouldn't bother me if either of these two won.
At this stage, unless the votes are way, way out of the margin of error, I don't think you could bet on DI. If DI is wrong, that doesn't mean that the contest if fixed. It just means that DI isn't perfect, and it's not.

thanks for that wonderful description of bad teeth....i just gagged on my cough drop! Oooops, sorry. :(

I know in houston (or think) you could just show up....but friends of mine in nyc had to go into the pool (on PBS) to try to get the tickets....so I don't really know what the heck is the method....but i absolutely love that show! especially when it's some kind of crap that somebody thinking it's very old, very valuable and it turns out to be worthless....

It gets really tiring listening to the "conservatives" out there make shallow comments about people and their supposed short comings in how they look.
Oh, and nobody's been making fun of how others look? Or, does it only bother you when they talk about your fav?
To: conservativebabe
I'd have to say Kat. When I went back and listened to the performances from last night Chris was actually better then I initially thought.
Then when I got to Kat's songs at the start of them I had the same thought, that maybe these are better then I initially thought last night. And for the most part her songs were much, much better then I gave her credit for. When she forgets her words in the middle of her first song she kind of spazs out a few bars later and hits this high note that can peel paint. It was like she was trying to overcompensate for forgetting the words by hitting some big notes. Her second song it sort of the same thing. Starts out beautifully, then it just goes wrong with some shrieky high notes.

Of the four left standing, Katharine and Chris appear to have taken the least from the guest coaches. I wonder if is whatever coach versus momma coach and guess who wins? :)
