I will also see if its on Youtube.
Actually, the AI powers are doing it all very differently this year from in the past. Before, none of the other finalists could release anything until after the summer tour, but this year they have released several singles.
This is also the first year when both the winner and runner up got different singles to release.
As for which side is the A side for Katharine, the single they gave her on the show was universally panned as a horrible song. So maybe they figure SOTR would be more successful.
Personally, I think what they are doing is totally unfair to Taylor as the winner. By releasing something from Chris, Elliott and Katharine all at once, it dilutes the focus on Taylor. :(
I actually think AI is stunned that Taylor won it. I'm thinking they were probably joking about him behind his back and knew that no way would Taylor make it to the final, let alone win. they are still pushing the others because they "get" their music, especially Chris and Kat...
...and still don't know what to do with Taylor. Taylor has it all figured out for them if they will just listen. JMO.
I totally agree and know of a lot of other people that feel the same way. They have belittled his win that he had to work so hard for.
They act like there are co-winners. :(
Simon was upstaged by Taylor. lol
Did you hear that after he did his performance at the Walmart shareholders meeting that the CEO of merchandizing doubled the order for his cd.

No I don't know his mother but that was the kind of question that all good mama's would slap some sense into their heads.
I agree that Taylor has been kind of pushed out of the focus this year. However, the more Kat talks the more she shoots herself in the foot. The latest is her interview where she disses Kellie.

To my knowledge only Kat and Taylor have AI singles, as such. Any success Chris and E have is because they sang well on the AI album-- which is an annual event. I'd love to be wrong and discover Chris has a single (which is a misnomer, since they have two songs on the single). Taylor's fans just have to buy his stuff.

Stadium of Fire
June 2, 2006 Just Announced:
UTAH SOUL PATROL GET READY: TAYLOR HICKS, AMERICAN IDOL'S NEWEST WINNER, WILL PERFORM AT THE STADIUM OF FIRE!
The 29-year-old won viewers with his raw singing style, wild dance moves, and an unlikely mop of gray hair. With more than a billion votes cast during the 2006 series, Hicks was voted the first place winner on one of the most watched television programs of the year. Some 43 million viewers tuned in May 24 as Hicks sang "Do I Make You Proud" in the show's season finale.
His first big concert ever, Hicks will visit Provo, Utah one week before making an appearance on the American Idol Tour.
Here's more detailed information:
Americas Freedom Festival at Provo announced today that American Idols newest winner, Taylor Hicks, one of the most talked about celebrities on the planet, will perform at the Stadium of Fire in Provo on July 1.
This is the first singing invitation Taylor has accepted since being named American Idol winner last week, said Brad Pelo, trustee of the non-profit Americas Freedom Foundation, which presents the annual stadium extravaganza.
The gray-haired rhythm and blues singer from Alabama achieved the dream of tens of thousands of auditioners this year and attracted a huge legion of fans, called the Soul Patrol, during his appearances on the Fox networks American Idol.

The finalists of American Idol are starting a 54-city tour later in the summer, Pelo added, but currently no performance is planned for Utah. Stadium of Fire is the time and place to see and hear Taylor Hicks in person.
Music and media people have raved about Hicks talent. Wednesday, legendary pop music mogul, Clive Davis, signed Hicks to a recording contract, saying he thinks Hicks has charisma and a unique singing style that will help him establish his listening audience. He definitely has his own sound, Davis told the AP. He does have that gift; you know who it is when you hear him.
American Idol is a talent search contest to determine the best "undiscovered" young singer in the country. In recent years it has become one of the most highly publicized music competitions in the world. Judges assess each act and viewers vote performers off the show each week until only two remain for a final competition to determine the winner.
In addition to Taylor Hicks performance, this years Stadium of Fire show will include country musics reigning queen, Grammy and CMA winning LeeAnn Womack, as well as three tribute bands on three stages battling it out with the music of ABBA, The Beach Boys and Queen.
Additional special guests on Stadium of Fire will be announced in the weeks to come. The U.S. Armys premier parachute team, the Golden Knights, will start off the evening with an aerial show from thousands of feet in the air as they jump into LaVell Edwards Stadium. Traditional elements of the show, including 1,000 Stadium of Fire Dancers and the 250 strong American Fork Marching Band, will be augmented this year by a 200 person drum line and a 300 voice choir. And, of course, there are the fireworks. This year, there will be more fireworks from inside the stadium than ever before. The massive pyrotechnic finale, entitled, The Music of America, will be performed to literally dozens of hit songs from the 1940s to the present day.
Stadium of Fire will be broadcast live to American military personnel around the world via the American Forces Television Network, and will also include live satellite links from military stations around the world. Stadium of Fire presenter Americas Freedom Foundation is a nonprofit volunteer-driven organization promoting ideals of freedom and democracy through education programs and celebration events. All proceeds from ticket sales go to produce these events and programs, nearly all of which are free to participants and the public.
What's the Stadium of Fire?? It sounds way cool.
The Stadium of Fire will feature:
* Taylor Hicks - American Idol Winner
* Lee Ann Womack - "Queen of Country"
* Battle of the Tribute Bands playing music of The Beach Boys, Queen, and ABBA
* Keni Thomas - Military Music Artist
* Golden Knights Skydivers
* Traditional F-16 Flyover
* Unmatched Fireworks Show
* Many Surprises
It's definitely not what the Dixie Chicks would support if you catch my drift. I really think that the clinton comment was probably sarcastic. This is about as conservative an event you could get.
Oh okay. Freedom Festival, but I guess they are one in the same.
And no actual flames are involved.
Gosh, I am slow tonight.
The above should read:
I THOUGHT Freedom Festival was different or a seperate event from Stadium of Fire, but I guess they are one in the same.
And there are still no actual flames involved.
Should make his conservative fans very happy! :)
Well, there will be lots of fireworks!! :)
Woohoo - sounds like TayTay is American-loving and military-supporting to the hilt! So much for the rumors of him being a diehard lefty. Even if he does skew left, the fact he would do this show is really great!
Kat certainly does. It's beyond irritating. The way she just kept talking talking TALKING during Larry King, I wish I could have been able to call in & tell her to put a sock in it. It should be about Taylor right now. Let his CD come out & then everyone else. I do enjoy seeing Elliott though. He seems very sweet & he's not overbearing like... "others". But Taylor did win this thing. He earned it & it's his moment to shine right now.
If this is the way she treats her friends, she must not have many.
